Seems to attract rats well!
This bait worked great, unfortunately the snap jaw traps didnโt kill the rats so Iโm afraid they might have lessened the lureโs effectiveness.

I have never bought a more useless product.
Didn't work at all. PERIOD. Caught over 50 rats and mice this year and not one of them with this product. If I would have caught even 1 mouse or rat I would give this item 2%. It didn't catch one. I even caught one mouse in a different trap that didn't have ANYTHING in it. Air caught more mice than this product. An empty trap caught more mice than the trap with this stuff in it. Don't waste your money like I did. This stuff is really useless and air is free! I hope this steers you toward another product. Glue traps worked the best for me.

Works well when used with peanut butter
When I placed this product in my traps it did not initially work. Then I started using both the Rat Attractant AND peanut butter and finally: No more rats! Used peanut butter alone before and that didn't work. This worked in both the plastic "snap" traps, glue traps, and a Hartz live trap (2 open ends). Used poison to kill the remaining tricksters! All dead now.

This product works.
The squirels were too interested in the rat traps when I used peanut butter as bait. Product works as well if not better than peanut butter and is easier to clean off the traps. Seven outside rats trapped so far in about 3 weeks. Rat activity is now nill. Fast shipping, product is a lot more expensive than peanut butter but probably worth it. Easier to use and goes a long way.

immediately caught 2 rats after switching to this from peanut butter
recently had rats get into my compost bin. set up a few humane traps with peanut butter and they were attracting raccoons and possums, but no rats. first night switching to this gel and caught 2 rats and the other animals totally ignored it.

Worked at first than no go
The first night I used it I got 2 rats. After cleaning the traps by soaking in hot water and some bleach I baited them up again. Never got another rat using this bait. I have been trapping them with peanut butter though, so I know it's the bait and there still are plenty of rats. If you have rats use the Victory traps and block the rat from getting the bait from the side. Use the cage traps too as they worked the best for me. Best bait is peanut butter. Don't bother with this stuff. I figured this would be the EASIEST/cleanest way to bait and it is easy but it's not very effective. Rats are smart and somehow, they figure out and communicate to the pack it's not food. Well that's my experience anyway. I'll give it 2 stars as I did trap 2 rats using it. Since then I trapped about 35 using peanut butter and NONE using this. If you live in AZ DON'T PLANT CITRUS or you'll be dealing with roof rats. HORRIBLE!! They'll eat the fruit right off the trees before they are ripe and get under your roof tiles and cause a lot of expensive damage. Had to remove and discard every piece of fruit from the trees before they got ripe. maddening! I've come to accept that I'll never have another fresh piece of citrus again even though I have 13 trees. But that's how life goes. There's ALWAYS something to spoil everything you enjoy in life. The things you despise never get disrupted. You just have to laugh it off, accept and move on! :-)

Crack for rodents
I wasn't really sure about this... used it once, and yes, got a rat. Stuck it under my kitchen sink after that. Went looking for it today----apparently I had a rodent under my sink that really wanted it. Chewed the cap right off!!! Seriously. I now have an open bottle of red goo. Storing it elsewhere. But I am pretty sure that it is desired by the rats/mice.
