I am an engineer with 35 years experience and have used verniers all my life. These calipers are way better than the usual cheap plastic versions. The new calipers are very accurate, very easy to read. Would you believe 2 spare batteries are included plus a tiny screw driver to open the compartment. These high quality steel calipers are of the highest quality and you can feel this in their weight. The protective box is also very substantial. All in all probably the best calipers you can buy for anywhere close to this price. Amazing. Thank you.

Only just received this, but I thought it would be helpful to share my thoughts. I'm always sceptical about buying from the far east, however, this product was just as advertised, and as good as I'd hoped it was going to be. Hilarious translation on the user leaflet, but that just confirms the product's provenance! Feels like good quality (nice & heavy to hold) so it's real metal! Works as advertised; buttons work properly - on/off, zero, & toggle between metric, inches, and a very-handy fractions of an inch. Nice, fine adjustment on the thumbwheel. Jaws fit snugly together when closed, so manufactured tolerances seem good - which give some confidence in its ability to actually measure with accuracy & repeatability. The ability to zero-off at any point is particularly handy. Spare battery included, as is the little screwdriver to open the battery case. Supplied with a (cheap) plastic case, which should keep it clean & protected. Next-day delivery went as advertised too, so despite it being early days (I've just been around the house and measured a load of external & internal things, to try it out), so far I'd say good value for the money.

Needed as a general tool for measuring screw & bolt length, gauge, etc., so didn't need rocket science accuracy. So far, it's been fine, I've checked the accuracy with a calibrated block, spot on to 2 decimal places. The plastic storage case was poor and the screwdriver supplied for changing the battery was truly awful, the tip was softer than the screw heads, at least I couldn't chew up the screw heads!! A better quality screwdriver (or no screwdriver at all) would have been better.

The body is made of metal and all the parts are gliding very smoothly. It’s very precise and feels solid, love the finish and the fact it comes with a spare battery and a set of metal samples of different thicknesses, which is very handy when making little things requiring precision. All in all, very happy with it.

April 2024 update after 18 months. Today just installed the second spare battery which came supplied with this. I've upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Reason - I've no complaints, works very well and gives consistent results. I'd been thinking of purchasing a proper name-brand product at a much higher price. But then I looked at the numbers and how many replacement batteries I could get for that sort of money. These calipers work well but do get through batteries whether in use or just stored. I'm not convinced that other products do better - I've seen complaints on the most top-quality high-priced products saying they eat batteries too. original review below: ______________________________________________________ At first I didn't realise there was a transparent protective film over the LCD screen. Removed it by first coving the display with adhesive tape, when I removed my own tape, the film came off together with it. Looks much better now! Looks and feels good, moves very smoothly. Arrived with one battery already installed plus two fresh batteries as well. Possibly because the original batter is running low, the display is a bit hard to see except from a very narrow angle, and the mm/inch indicators are very tiny. The choice of mm, decimal and fraction inch display is a useful feature.

Acheté pour des mesures précises en bijouterie. Plusieurs modèles d'autres marques dans la même gamme de prix testés précédemment et retournés car totalement inefficaces. Ce modèle de chez Proster fait très qualitatif . La boite protectrice semble solide, elle est sous blister. A l'ouverture, la qualité perçue est toujours là. Le pied vernier est lourd pour une bonne prise en main, totalement en acier et est fourni avec un tournevis et une pile de rechange. La prise de mesure est rapide et plutôt précise. Bref, je ne regrette pas cet achat sachant qu'à ce prix, c'est difficile de trouver aussi bien. Il peut concurrencer des modèles vendus plus chers.
