Both of these Down To Earth Fertilizers are excellent and versatile in the garden, and they can both be used for a wide variety of garden plants. However, there is some difference in ideal target and application based simply on the nutrient makeup. While Down To Earth All Purpose 4-6-2 will work well for a wide variety of plants, it truly shines in situations where the plants require added phosphorus or calcium: fruiting plants such as tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squash, and root crops. Q: is this slow release?

Yes it is can use as top dressing once a month

Q: Is the application amount when topdressing the same for indoor grows as it is for outdoor contrainers?

It is not. The instructions on the box do a good job of letting you know how much to use for a container vs. crops in the ground.
