Puri TechSta-Rite Dura-Glas 1HP P2RA5E-181L Replacement Motor Kit AO Smith USQ1102 with GO-KIT-54

My pool pump motor wend bad and I bought this as a replacement. For starters it was considerably cheaper than the local pool store and was very easy to install. It took me longer to install than I had hoped but was not because of the motor. The connections were a breeze. My only issue was with the old pump and installation prior. It was installed right against the wall and the new pump was about 3/4 inch longer. There was not room or movement to squeeze it in so I had to replumb the pump assembly. But, I used this as an opportunity to replace my 3 way valve. Again, not the pumps issue but a prior installation issue. So double check the overall length if you are very tight on clearance at the back of the motor. This should have taken no more than 15 minutes to install but because of my specific installation issues with clearance, I spent way to much time shopping for the right parts to replumb the pump. Have replacement parts ready to replumb so you don't waste a whole day if you have clearance issues like I did. Pump works great! For about hals what the pool store wanted for a new motor.

Our pool pump went out. Husband installed in less than 2 hours. Would have cost us 4 times the price to have it installed. Works like a champ!

Great delivery in Florida. Arrived about 24 hours after ordering. Made in Mexico. Makes a change from China. It is humming away now. Terminals a bit rinky-dink. Too small and cramped for heavy wire but can be managed with patience.. Old motor (Chinese) lasted 2 years before seal went and took bearing with it. We will see how this one does.

Ordered on a Tuesday and received motor on Thursday. Motor came as advertised in original box with seal kit. Great service!

The ad says "Puri Tech A.O. Smith" pump. This is not what you get. You get a Century pump. Century bought A.O. Smith in 2011 and moved production to China. The ad is misleading.

Took the bad one off an it interchanged just right no modification needed
