Chicken Soup for the Soul: Loving Our Dogs: Heartwarming and Humorous Stories about our Companions and Best Friends

Love all of these collections, but I didn't realize when I purchased this book it does repeat these stories from other Chicken Soup collection books, so you may have already read many of them if you have already read "for the dog lover" or "for the pet lover" or "loving our dogs and cats" plus a couple from various other books in this series. Praise God, I had not already read any of these particular books so was I very pleased!

feel good reading, appreciates value and importance of pets

I originally read a few stories from a friend's book "Chicken Soup for the Soul for Dog and Cat Lovers" (or something like that). I enjoyed the stories so much that I purchased two of the "dog lovers" versions for myself. I recently finished this one and I really enjoyed each and every story. Some of the stories are happy, some are absolutely amazing stories about what dogs can do and have done for the people they love, and some do bring tears to your eyes. But each and every story is touching and enjoyable in one way or another. The stories are short (most are between 2-4 pages long), which makes the book perfect to read even if you don't have much time.Sit it on your desk, by your comfy chair, or even in the bathroom and read a story or two each time you sit down.I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a furry, four-legged best friend.*ONE IMPORTANT EXTRA NOTE about this book is that, as stated on the front of the book, this version is the "101 best stories", so if you plan on reading the other Chicken Soup books for dog lovers, you may see some of the stories repeated. I didn't realize this until after I got the book, but I really didn't mind reading the repeated stories again.

In anticipation, I give 5 stars to this book, as I love all the books I read to date from the Chicken Soup for the Soul. They always say one saves the best for last, so this is the 3rd of the three books I just got. I anticipate readign it in the upcoming week, while I am off work on vacation. I loved the other two Pet lover's book I have from the chicken soup for the soul and look forward to reading this one. Our dogs bring us true joy to our lives and we look forward to reading stories shared by others.

Used in a gift basket for a silent auction. This book looked like it would be a good read & would be an enjoyable family book.

The stories in this book will warm your heart. Dogs are so amazing and we do not deserve them. You will read the book and find a few favorites and read them over and over again

Another brilliant book on dogs can’t get enough

This book had my complete attention from start to finish. Every story captures your heart. I laughed, I shed a tear and I enjoyed every moment. Great book for dog lovers and everyone else! If you have a dog, warn it that it will be getting lots of hugs while you read =)

chicken soup for the soul books are so incredibly uplifting and this one came at the right time, we had just ordered it and lost our pup 4 days shy of his 12th birthday. It took me awhile to be able to read it but once i started i couldn't put it down....
