Why The Sky Is Far Away: A Nigerian Folktale

This was a gift for a colleague. She loved it! She read it while pregnant. She was blessed with her first baby and looks forward to reading it again to her little one. I thumbed through it before having it wrapped. Lovely art. Sweet story.

I loved the story and how the pictures on the book. My class loved the story. It teaches a lesson on how wasteful we all can be on a daily basis.

I was very excited to receive my book, so I could read it to my students, but it came with water damage. I really would have returned it but I needed it right away.

I read this to my daughter's class (2nd Grade). They loved it! The questions I got asked shows the book can be a different story to every reader. Very enjoyable.

I bought it for my son, because I wanted something that is from his African heritage, and the book was perfect, because the story in it is exactly from the tribe his father is from (he wasn't familiar with this tale by the way...). The illustrations are very beautiful by the way, it definitely lifts this rather simple story to a new level. I got it from Book Depository and they included a cute colouring bookmark, which was a touching addition.

Lovely story about greed and not eating too much, my 4 year old loves it and wanted it twice tonight at bedtime!
