VERSATEXScreenprinting Ink Black for Paper and Fabric 16oz

This is our favorite black ink for screen printing. You do have to heat set it though so for those of you who are starting for the first time or doing some diy tee shirt with this, make sure you use heat to set or you will find it coming off with each wash. We use a heat press in our store because it applies the most even heat at a high temp but I'm sure you can use a heat gun or hair dryer but if you miss a spot at all - it will fade in that area.

I used this for an older upholstered desk chair. Coverage was good--it took a bottle to do one chair and the chair is fully black. It dried within a day or two and I am able to sit on the chair with no staining of my clothing. However, the finish is very slick and shiny. The chair definitely looks painted. Either that or covered in a shiny oilcloth. Given that my chair had stains, I feel the painted fabric is an improvement. However, if you really are seeking something stylish and attractive, I'd advise against this.

Makes really great dark blacks even on white fabric.
