Works well
It does work and keeps the air fresh - I didn't change mine for literally years (I would take it out and hand clean it periodically which I don't think hurts anything, but finally I decided I had better get a new one.It is quite easy to remove and put back in, no problem there, seems a simple process.Seems tremendously expensive when you see what it is - but maybe there's something I'm not understanding in the technology of making it. As I said though I did go several years (more than 5, with regular use), before I replaced it. Cheaper than a whole new air purifier.

Great filter - perfect OEM fit.
Seems like a very good replacement and a very nice value.I appreciate that Vornado: (1) continues to offer filters for our 10 year old filter; and(2) does not over price the filters.Some companies sell you the device at a loss and then make it up over and over on the consumables. If you have a shop vac, you know what I'm talking about ($60 shop vac, $40 filter!). Vornado simply makes damn good devices, they price them fairly, and they don't screw you on the consumables.

Vornado AQS 15 perfect for my model railroad
My model railroad is in the basement of my residence and I use the AQS 15 to clear the air of dust so that the rails do not oxidize. This coupled with a dehumindefier keeps the correct balance to avoid rail oxidation. Hence, in the worst of weather, when I turn on the tranformers the trains, fiveI in number run perfectly. I used the AQS 15 for over twenty years with replacement filters and it is still going strong doing a good job.

HEPA Filter
I bought the Vornado air purifier at a Goodwill store, it seemed to be in good shape as if it hadn't received much use. We discarded the filter, of course, and were happy to find the replacement on Amazon. It works very well. We live in the SW with a lot of dust and also we have 2 indoor cats. The filter catches these airborne particles very well.

Good Replacement Filter
This was shipped timely and was a good replacement. Hepa filters are always expensive so I think $46 was reasonable.

My Vornado still runs after 10+ years
I have had my Vornado for about 10+ years and still running. Not an everyday usage but significant enough. As all good air filters, the filters themselves cost a bunch. For $45 this will last for a long while. Make sure you get the pre-filter, this will add life to this HEPA filter.
