Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable Yarn, Polo

I am delighted with this yarn, the color is fabulous, just the right blend of deep fall hues for a small cowl I am knitting. The yarn is a roving type so it's very soft to the touch, you just need to be careful while working up your piece to avoid fraying the yarn. I use either metal straight needles or bamboo circular, depending on the effect. The pattern I'm using recommends a size 6 needle but, I want a looser more open stitch, so I'll be using a size 9 circular needle to avoid any seams on this piece. Wonderfully soft and the perfect color for fall. I would recommend to anyone wanting to experiment with this type of yarn.

This is an absolutely beautiful yarn and works up well with no splitting and was easy to frog when necessary. I would definitely recommend this for any project. However I did notice that during the color changes the yarn had some defects in the spinning of the thickness of the strand. At times I did have to cut and tie but overall it was minimal in the entire skein so be aware that this is possible.

I do love this yarn - only giving it four stars because it does tend to twist a bit while working, making sections pretty thin - this didn’t affect my finished piece in a negative way, though. It’s also a little slippery, being so soft and only one-stranded.The colors are GORGEOUS and I love that there’s a fairly gradual change in colors - makes it fun to work with and makes amazing designs! I just finished, washed, and dried a poncho for my mother-in-law (pictured: color - “tidal”) and used almost 4 skeins with a 6.50 hook. Now I’m working on one to (hopefully) sell with the color “sunrise” and I ordered 5 skeins in case I want to add fringe.Word to the wise - stick this in your cart, but hit “save for later” and check back for sales. The skeins of “sunrise” were $3.30 for just over a day then went back up to nearly $9, I think Michael’s sells them for ~$5 unless they’re on sale.

I make scarves and boas and this yarn has the most beautiful variety of colorations. I downgraded as a yarn for "beginners" because it's a bit fuzzy and can vary in thickness. Also is not uniform in thickness from skein to skein. I've found that some skeins have thick areas that are almost bordering on a worsted weight while others are more uniformly "DK" througout. This doesn't bother me for my purposes, but something to keep in mind if that's an issue for another type piece of knitwear.

The coloration in this yarn is beautiful and feels very soft. I am making a lacy shawl for a friend's 100th birthday!The label on the yarn advises a size 6 hook to crochet but I find that it is too loose for this fine yarn. I switched to a 5.5 hook and it gives a much better finish for this lacy shawl.The pattern is, Jayda's Triangle Shawl, and can be found on YouTube.

I bought this yarn to knit a hat. The yarn is just as described, and the colors are nice.

The colors are beautiful. I haven’t worked with it yet, but it’s inconsistent in size…thick, thin and very fuzzy. The issue I have tonight, though, is that I could not find the end inside the skein so I could make it into a ball…the outside end was very hard to find. I thought Red Heart was always easy to wind into a ball…this was an exercise in frustration! I had to wind it into a ball from the outside and what a mess! I spend at least two hours doing this…I have two more skeins to contend with. I’m not looking forward to dealing with those. Maybe I’ll just leave them as they are and take the out and look at them once in a while, since they’re such beautiful colors. Why don’t they just attach a little tab to the inside end, so people can find it!

I love the deep colors and the texture. I will be making a scarf to give as a gift. Very happy with my purchase!!

Muy suave.El precio, justo.No lo recomendaría para hacer algo en "rayas", pues el color cambia casi cada metro.Dice ser grosor "medium" número 4 y sugiere ganchillo de 6mm y agujas de 5mm, sin embargo es SUMAMENTE delgado. Puedo compararlo casi con un hilo de algodón grueso.En el proyecto para el que lo adquirí, voy a usarlo doble y para poder combinarlo con otro estambre número 4.
