Works Well
I needed something to seal a lot of envelopes, and this fits the bill. I did snip the pointed sponge as I prefer the flat rectangle to hit more envelopes at once, but if you’re doing 1 at a time like a normal person, it’s perfect just as it comes. The tube holds plenty of water so as not to need to refill often, and it’s a comfortable size to hold.

Using this to erase my ROCKETBOOK
Giving 5 stars because it does what it's supposed to, which is to dispense water in a controlled manner... But this does not "travel" well when filled with water. It leaks if it's set on it's side. You can't put it in a bag or pencil case without everything getting wet. I know the non-Sponge end is to seal the envelope flap, but I wish it was a flat foot, so you can stand it up by itself.

Works okay
worth the pricing, has helped send envelopes fast at work. although can leak water puddles sometimes. for the price it’s definitely ok to work with and worth it!

Hello, Old Friend
Ever since that envelope licking Seinfeld episode I've adamantly refused to lick envelopes. It's silly, I know, but there are too many things out there trying to kill us daily - why tempt fate?I looked in all the stores locally for this specific style of moistener and could only find that annoying far-too-large-sponged bottle type of moistener that soaks the desk and the envelope. These pen style tools fit the glue strip far better and are less messy. Priming is just as annoying, but I'll take it.What I Really got it for, because let's be honest - most of us buy self-seal envelopes and I don't think the Post Office even sells lickable stamps any more, was my Everlast notebook by RocketBook and my SmartNote by NewYes. These are notebooks that are reusable and they erase with water. I slap some water on the book with the pen-style moistener and wipe it away with a cloth and voila! Clean page. Thus far my plan is working and the moistener was a great purchase for this purpose.BTW, RocketBook wins for their app, but SmartNote wins for their "paper" being much easier to write on. I've reviewed both - feel free to take a peek if you're curious about these notebooks. I use the SmartNote for personal since I don't really need to scan the pages and RocketBook for business because I do rely on OCR and being able to scan for business.Back to the moistener. For the price you're definitely getting value and quality. They also fit in with my pen holder, which the bottle style moistener does not do - it sits awkwardly on my desk, taking up valuable space and often gets knocked over as I'm reaching for this or that.It does take a bit to prime the sponge, but that can easily be sped up by compressing it, sticking it into water (e.g., a running faucet) and letting go of the sponge so it soaks up the water. The more it has to be primed, the faster the sponge will wear out so I do prefer my alternate method. I'm sure it would be possible to replace the sponge by cutting a piece off a regular ol' kitchen sponge and gluing it in the place of the old sponge, but thus far I have not had to test that theory.All-in-all I'm quite pleased with this purchase, as I knew I would be.

The worst purchase I have made on Amazon
This does not function like it should. It does not moisten when you apply gentle pressure to the envelope. When I press a little firmer it gets water everywhere. Lucky it was inexpensive.

Easy to use
I mail a lot of cards, and this spares me from ingesting the nasty-tasting glue on the back of envelopes! I used a cotton swab in the past, but this is so much cleaner and easier to use. However, I normally "prime" it by running water over the sponge & then pinching out the excess. The hole under the sponge is very small, and priming it first just keeps the process rolling along much easier. I just find this easier to use than the ball-type sponges.

Sencillo y util

Good Product !
Over the years, when I had to put some water over the preglued area of envelopes, I used my finger to put some water onto the preglued area but from time to time I put more water on than needed. However, after I have bought this moistener, it did help me to moisten the preglued area of the envelopes very professionally. Nice product!
