Allstar Performance ALL69117 700-R4 Locking Transmission Dipstick

I replaced the dipstick tube in my 70 Chevelle SS 454 with this one. The thing I like about this one is the robust seal, versus many which only have a small o-ring. It fit like a glove, zero issues, and bolted right up using one of the bell housing bolts. Thankfully I had the passenger side inner fender removed from the car which made installing this a lot easier. Anyhow, if you're looking for a good dipstick tube with a good deal and a lock, this is a good option.

This is a great TH400 fit. Comes with a nice sealing tube instead of the factory o-ring seal. Some racing organizations require a locking trans dipstick.

Well made tube and looked nice but no way it was going to fit my application, wasn't even in the ballpark!

Tube thickness adequate with a good matching dipstick. Locking device on the dipstick seems to hold well. The angles of the tube bends worked well on my Buick Nail Head, just had to relocate the mounting bracket.

Very pleased, fairly easy to install existing dipstick was roughly 7 inches longer. Once place side-by-side original dipstick and new replacement had exactly the same depth from transmission entry to end of dipstick bracket mounts off rear side of motor and dipstick roughly comes 2 inches above rear valve cover

Perfect fit for TH 400 and locking dipstick is a plus would recommend.

While the dipstick functions well as a dipstick, the mount did not match up to a bellhousing bolt/stud like it should have. I had to cut the mount off the dipstick and weld it back on in a different spot so it would fit correctly. It's also on the short side and way back in the engine bay. It's just high enough to pop up behind the head of the engine, but just barely. The mount on this needs to definitely be fixed and it wouldn't hurt to be several inches longer so its easier to access.

Very nice doesnt look or feel cheap at all. I would buy it again.

fit right in no problem on 68 Chevelle

A while ago I purchased a similar one of these, but for a TH400. Fit and sealed perfect. I am assuming the fit for this will be the same.

bracket to the bellhousing is welded on the wrong side of filler tube for my 2002 8.1 , but adapted easily
