PontecPressure Filter PondoPress 15000

So I had to buy a new filter to replace my old leaking filter. I bought this on the basis it claims to guarnatee clean water with it's inbuilt UV and I liked that it came as a kit including the pump and the hoses, clips etc. The cannister itself appears well made with a basic filter sponge and media included. The hoses were adequete in length and the hose clips sturdy enough to clamp on tight. The instructions were basic but sufficient if you've had filters before, if you are new to these you may find the instructions a bit odd. IMPORTANT > This kit has both a pump and a UV wired to a TWO PIN European Plug. So you'll need to buy two adapters as they are sealed for life plugs. Of course you could cut the wiring but lets face it, you'll do that and wire to a conventional plug only to find a problem of some kind and then you'll not be covered under the warranty or return rights as it will be 'damaged'. So I've reluctantly had to spend out on two european to UK adapter plugs which although is not a major expense, is a) annoying as I had to wait even longer to use the product and b) not advertised anywhere. I personally think the price I paid was about right for the amount of kit and the mid range quality but had I known it had european plugs on tamper proof wiring I'd have bought something else to avoid the grief and also so I could have tested BEFORE then deciding to strip the moulded plug to poke the wire through a hole in the wall! Anyway, the product itself is working in that it is filtering the water at the advertised rate. However there's no sign of the water clearing in any way. My pond is sparsely stocked with 21 tiny 1" fish and is just under 3000 Gallons. I don't have blanket weed, just green water and the visual depth before with the old filter was about 3 Inches deep and it is still the same after a week. So I doubt this is actually killing the algae as it claims to. On this basis I don't recommend this product as a solution to crystal clear water but it does offer a reasonable value starter set or all in one kit for your filtration needs...albeit with French plugs!

Great item, i already have one of these and bought another to replace a really old pump and filter. The water is very clear. The only problem I had this time is the tube that comes with it for the pump and filter was too small to fit over the fittings. I had to use lots of boiling water and it took nearly 2 hours of messing to get a secure fittings I ended up having to use some tubing I had left from the last one I ordered as that was a bigger size. Still a great product and worth the money.

Had this two weeks , doing well ,just hope the uvc light part does not break with lamp inside .Doing the job very well pond clear and clean as can be with fish

It was easy to install , cleaning not sure as imNot done yet but seams like easy .

Cleared my 10000 litre pond up overnight. Well worth the money. You do need to fit your own uk plugs though

Problems... continues to break impeller in pump (4th) found a solution to modify and secure impeller to shaft.UV light controller lasted 3 months then failedPay the extra cash and get a better unit

Deliveted on time. Easy to install, not required to be cleaned as yet so unsure how easy it is to do.
