Not a universal fit
I like them! I have them on my fuel ex-7 but the other pair I ordered fit terrible on my wife’s marlin 7!

Great, but doesn't fit new SRAM Dub cranks
I couldn't get the upper sleeve to fit on my new SRAM GX Dub cranks, even with a heat gun. Could I have eventually got them to fit? Probably, but not worth the time and effort for me. The lowers fit snug though, which is a good thing. Only problem I had with those is the washer for the PNW composite pedals was a bit too big to fit through the crank boot hole, so I just inserted it into the boot before sliding it on and then adjusted it from there to tighten the pedal back on.All this being said, I'll probably buy another pair for my other bike because these are probably the best option on the market ATM.

Initial installation & thoughts specifically with SRAM Force 1 / Force 22 carbon cranks
After initially contacting the manufacturers, All Mountain Style, to confirm fitment with my cranks (I've read conflicting reviews so I wanted the final word from them) I purchased a set of the Crank Defenders for my SRAM Force 1 (same as Force 22) carbon cranks. I've only ever had steel or alloy cranks & realize the susceptibility (or my paranoia) of these to ground/rock/object strikes as well as the fact that I unwittingly tend to stand partially on the arms to add leverage or during track stands.Anyway, got my order & proceeded to do the installation. There are 2 pieces per arm for both the end of the crankarms & around the pedal, & one to place further in along the arm (per your preference or need). There are manufacturer videos showing ways to do this & the need to use a heat gun &/or WD-40 types of product in order to make them pliable & to slide them on the arms more easily. Honestly, the first chevron-shaped piece would have probably gone on without either, but I did both, just to follow protocol & for ease. No problems whatsoever & I was able to place each arm's chevron in the needed locations for each side. When it came to the crank-end pieces, they also were easy enough to get on & into position until I tried putting my pedals back on. I run Shimano SPD XT PD-M780 mountain pedals (on all of my bikes) & when I first set to tightening the pedal the cover holes lined up slightly off but I figured I could heat them a bit & used hands to "massage" them to stretch slightly but even after those efforts, the hole edge got pinched by the flared axle end. I checked & the flared portion actually fits fine in through the hole, but it just couldn't when the hole was as off-center as it was. As you can see in the photos, I ended up heating it more & then using pliers in pull the offending edges so that the axle could make it through & I could then let the arm cover settle back into place, slightly offset from where it seems it should be. Also, there is a hole on the backside through which you use an allen wrench to tighten on your pedals & that's also offset, though can be worked around with effort in order to do the tightening. It wasn't a horrible thing to deal with, just that it creates "damage" (I would have used something without crimp marks on them but the space was super narrow & I needed needle-nose pliers to do the pulling) before I've even ridden these.I'm sure these will work well enough, certainly better than nothing, & exceed my hopes & survive for quite some time without splitting, or flaring out around the axle hole, or loosening & flopping around the pedal.Again, this is an early assessment as I've only done the installation, not rides. They look good. Seat well on the arms (minus the holes) should offer protection. I'll do follow up reviews as I get more time with them & insight into their capabilities.Oh, also, contacting All Mountain Style is easy & they are responsive & friendly to questions.

Black color boots for the Sram XX1 cranks - perfect fit and nice extra "protection" for yor money.
I like these compared to the factory SRAM boots. They seem thicker to me and fit perfect. I have the same boot in different colors on a SCOTT and have used those for over a year now with no complaints. Would buy again and will buy again when needed.GOD BLESSjohn
