Nature-Watch Arrow of Light Cub Scout Kit (Makes 8 Award Arrows)

Very nicely packaged and put together. The only issue I had was getting the feathers to stick. I think this was partly because of the stain I used beforehand, but the feathers were a little twisted so getting them to stick straight was an issue. I ended up not using the double sided tape that came with, but just a stronger quick drying adhesive. The colored tape was WAY better than trying to paint stripes (which I've done in the past). I think the kit was really nice and the finished product met my expectations. We had several nice comments from parents and I think the boys really liked them! I do agree with another comment that the arrowheads were really pointy. They come with cotton wrapping the tip, so i just kept it on, even when we presented them to the boys.

If you want something that a stranger put together for your scouts, look elsewhere. This kit comes in pieces and you put it ALL together, and that is perfect. You will want to put that personal touch on these high quality arrows. The dowels are thick enough to withstand some abuse without being logs, the arrow heads fit very well, the fletchings stick on with confidence (something I was worried about) and there is plenty of colored tape for the award bands. The instructions are clear and concise and includes an arrow of light ceremony if you need that. I could not be more pleased and I am encouraging my pack to use this product again next year.

Excellent quality. Two recommendations: 1) place a blob of hot glue in the notch to help hold the arrowhead in place while wrapping and 2) arrow fins (fletching) are applied 1/3rd points around circumference of the shaft. Mark the points then place shaft & a pencil flat on a table. Align pencil with the 1/3rd mark and trace flat line as guide for the fin. Apply strip of glue tape to the arrow shaft first. Helps get straight evenly spaced fins.

Great kit, easy to put together with clear instructions. I thought it would be difficult to put the fletching on with the included tape, however it's really strong adhesive and they were easy to attach. The only difficulty was removing the backing of the adhesive tape, but once I got into the groove of things I had no problem.The end result was stunning and the boys and parents all loved them.

These are great!! They are very helpful. They come with the printable certificate, ceremony ideas and a chart to help you know which stickers to use.

The product was fine. But what made this seller stand out was on the outside of the box it was written “packed with lots of love” and hearts drawn on it. In today’s world this simple message went a long way. I posted it on Facebook and Instagram.

These are great. Easy to put together. Has a couple of extra bands to add custom awards. I followed someone else's review to do the stripes first and fleching last. The arrow heads were hard to get to tighten up and seem secure at first. I cut a small piece of leather to shim it up and they seemed to be great.

Used for our aol scouts. Great.
