Great Presenting Tool
I tested this presenter with Powerpoint but primarily used it with ioslides (an html based presentation package in Rstudio) on a Mac. I didn't have any trouble with installation although some users may need to allow it through the security center. The software included adds additional features beyond back and forward like a normal presenter. Without the software, in case you aren't able to install it, the back and forward buttons still work and the scene button shows the mouse pointer instead of the zoom and digi-laser. Scene ModeScene mode is a substitute and perhaps the successor to a traditional laser pointer. It allows you to focus on part of the screen while subduing the rest (aperture) or use an onscreen dot similar to a traditional laser pointer. The micro SD card has the software for the advanced features built into the USB dongle. I could imagine this would be very useful for storing a presentation on it as a backup in case of using someone else's computer.TimerThe timer appears to start as soon as you turn it on. I couldn't figure out how to pause or reset the timer once it started without opening the presenter software. If this is possible using combo keys it should be covered in the instructions. The timer vibration is useful but I don't think it is subtle enough. If presenting to a quiet room I would either not use it or address it with software to adjust the magnitude if possible.Button Identification/LayoutI would recommend establishing a more natural button identification schema. People complain about the up and down buttons being confusing. Knowing page down advances on a standard keyboard is intuitive to me, but it might be useful to put left and right arrows instead assuming most presenting software follows this logic. Additionally, the instructions could be revamped instead of stating buttons 1-4, give them names like next, previous, scene, and shift to make it easier to remember all the button combos. While reading the instructions I frequently had to scroll back and forth to see the button diagram. It would also be nice if the button commands/combinations could be customized through the software but I couldn't find any others in this price point that could do this.Overall, its a nice presenter and has features you can't find in a traditional presenter at a similar price point like the Logitech R400. I haven't had a chance to test the battery life since I've only used it a few times but it seems more convenient to charge it instead of replacing batteries and it comes with a handy carrying case (although it is a little thin to be considered durable). Also, since there are only four buttons, there are a lot of button combinations which can be confusing. The timer is also a point of concern which I think could be better addressed in the documentation and app about how to pause and reset it (if possible). With the exception of a few minor concerns this presenter serves its many functions well and I look forward to its continued use.

Thank you!
I was so happy to receive this presenter. I teach using a pc, document camera and a television for a "screen." I have found that laser pointers don't work. This presenter not only has a digital pointer feature, but it also will spotlight and magnify. Initially, I was confused with how to work the tool, but I read through all of the manual, which is easily accessible, and found it very user friendly. It also works as a wireless mouse and helps make my lectures much more seamless. Great product and I highly recommend it.

Good product.
The product is light. I am a little bit apprehensive with the casing built. It seems to be of easily breakable thin plastic. I was expecting something sturdier. As for the functions, it was as claimed. It may take some time to figure it out as the instructions are too succinct. But once you get a hang of it, operation will be a breeze. The item is at half price compared to the known brand with similar functions.

Very inconsistent; good customer service
UPDATE: The company contacted me and offered to replace the item or give me a refund. Since I had already bought a different presentation remote, I asked for a refund and it was given to me right away. It may have just been a faulty item I received but I appreciated how they wanted to make things right for me.I bought this for use in the classroom but most days the remote did not work at all. I liked the size and weight of the remote but that's about it. The USB receiver easily overheats and you cannot use the remote at all when this happens. The spotlight/pointer/magnifier are nice to have BUT it was always off center and useless if you could not move them using the remote. After about a month, the remote does not work now.

Nice with software "laser"
I am not a fan of lasers generally when doing presentations, and this remote doesn't have lasers. It does however have magnifier, red dot and spotlight in software instead. The software you need is neatly accessible from the usb dongle and works well together with Windows 10.The next slide button is a bit larger that all the other buttons which is a nice touch. The timer is hidden (you won't even notice it) until you press the "show timer button", with out that the timer would be annoying but they had thought this feature through.

Beware - fails quickly and it does NOT have 3 year warranty as advertised.
Beware - does NOT have 3 year warranty as advertised and fails quickly. I initially loved the capacities of this clicker (even though the needed software and device are not very user friendly). The problem was that I barely used it for a couple of conferences and the next time I wanted to use it for my regular classes it was dead and the device is failing to charge. I already tried several cables and charging modes (connected to a pc, directly to the wall with a cube, etc.). I bought this thinking that I had nothing to lose since it came with "warranty"... However the seller is comentely unresponsive and there is a message that the support and return wondow for this item has closed... Really? With a supposedly 3 year warranty? What a scam. I'm very sad it didn't work out. I was truly hoping that this was a fluke and that perhaps I got a defective unit... And that the sellers would send me a replacement (given the warranry they list). But nothing.. They didn't even respond to my message. What a waste of money. Nice concept, extremely cheap and unreliable execution.

Stopped Working Just past 50 days of Owning It
This remote worked pretty good. It was easy to hold. The software was light. Not much to it. I had to read another review on here to figure out how to get the laser/magnifier to work/change. It worked well when it worked. Yesterday, all of the sudden, the dongle just stopped working. I tried it on two separate USB slots on a Windows 10 machine. The computer won't detect that the dongle exists anymore. I tried it on a different computer (MacBook) and the MacBook won't detect it either. It's just... dead.Paid quite a bit of money for it only to have it stop working just after 50 days.
