Neewer 2 Pieces Metal PU-50 50 millimeter Universal Quick Shoe plate With 1/4 inch Screw,Fits Standard for Camera Tripod Ball Head(Black)

I needed a spare plate to fit to a second camera for use with the Amazon Basics 62" ball head tripod. This plate fits OK BUT NEEDS A BIT OF METALWORK to make it fit. The Amazon tripod as a quick release latch as well as a clamping screw. To get this plate on, a slot needs to be cur in one end to line up with the latch pin (with the tripod's release button in the pressed position). I tried to use my trusty Dremel for this but the metal is VERY hard. I ended up filing it by hand. After doing the mod it fits very well.

Good confidence connections all round. The clamp comes complete with a 1/4 to 3/8 converter to assist with fitting to any mount. It has cut outs which prevent rotation of the clamp on the mount (assuming your mount has a keyed headway that can protrude into these cut outs. If not then it can still sit flush, but you will loose that benefit). Then the quick release plate clamps beautifully and confidently into the clamp, and includes the slider safely limit bolts so it cannot accidentally slide all the way out when loose. Finally the rubberised grips on the quick release plate ensure a good connection to the camera helping keep the camera from rotating on the plate. Very happy with this solution.

I wanted a couple of spare Arca swiss quick release plates, and these were a great price and Neewer gear is normally great quality for the price. They are well made and finished but I was slightly disappointed that the locking screw only had a slot, no little folding handle, so you need to use a small coin or screwdriver to tighten it up. The photo above shows this plate on the left. On the right is the plate that Neewer supply with their small ball head, as you can see it is identical apart from the fact that the screw has a handle, which is what I would have really liked. Odd that the company has two versions of this very basic item.

The size matches my other plates, which is great. Also the inner size is just right to accommodate a Black Rapid carabiner anchor (with just a bit of drilling 😜) — this is the smallest plate allowing for that. Looks sturdy too so 👌 good purchase.

Our Canon dslr got stolen with the mount for our tripod still attached so not only having to replace the camera, thought I’d have to replace our £80 tripod. Someone suggested I look for just the mount and found these available at a great price. They don’t fit 100% perfect but fit well enough to keep the camera secure while we photograph our products. Really pleased at the price compared to buying a new tripod.

I wanted this to fix to my Vintage 300mm long lens permanently. I had to machine it a little to get it to fit snug and being nice solid material made it easy to do. Colouring is Matt Black and just what i needed... and not too large of a mount so it looks like it's part of the lens.

At about a fifth of the price of the Vanguard OEM plate, this is great value for money. It's a perfect fit and it looks to be well made. Only minus factor is that it doesn't have the safety pin which stops the OEM item sliding out of the head if you don't secure it tightly enough. Other than that, an excellent buy.

Great quality product, I've used it with a small refractor telescope with no problems.

This adapter works great. It's a universal fit, so it works for my tripod and camera, it seems sturdy and it should last for as long as I have the camera.

Very useful for the price and works well with my camera rig.

Arca Swiss are my go to quick release plates and clamps. Quick tip... If your object doesn't have quarter/ 20 thread, such as a power bank etc you could, as I have done... Remove the screw from the plate and attach some double sided tape. 3M VBR recommended.
