Wilt-Pruf works very well!
I sell evergreen centerpieces and swags--made from twigs, several kinds of evergreen boughs, pine cones, and a big ribbon--during the holidays at the winter farmers' market. Using Wilt-Pruf before putting them together makes the greens last many weeks--even months--longer than they would have lasted when not using the product. Any leftover spray is applied to the Christmas tree. It's safe to use on most evergreens, I've used it for decades, and it brings customers back every year. This autumn, I'll spray Wilt-Pruf on the young rhododendrons and a few other evergreens to conserve moisture within their tissues. High winds can dry them out. Read the label for instructions.

This stuff is amazing! I have been using it for the last ...
This stuff is amazing! I have been using it for the last 3-4 years every Christmas on our fresh tree, wreathes and garland used to decorate inside and out. Regardless of how diligent you are with keeping a fresh Christmas tree watered(Fraser Fir in our case), it will still drop needles. Wilt Pruf, in addition to making the tree needles shiny and richer in color, it reduces the number of needles dropped by at least 60% or more. Fresh wreathes and garland, especially inside the house, do not dry out and turn pale green or brown nearly as fast. This is also a MUST for preserving Magnolia Leaf wreathes to allow use for more than one year! When treating fresh greenery, including the Christmas tree, it works best if allowed to dry outside in the daylight/sun. For the tree and wreathes I use a pump sprayer which makes it quick and easy to coat generously without waste. For garland I put the solution in a bucket and give it a dip. Very easy to use and for the small investment of time, well worth it. Follow dilution instruction on the bottle. During the dry season and in case of tough winters in the marginal zones, it does wonders for plants and shrubs. I use it generously during the summer, especially before heading out on vacation. Non-toxic, safe for the environment! A little goes a long way!

Expensive But Worth It
I did tests on using this product at the 10 to 1 ratio with my tropical hibiscus plants and it works beautifully. It helps them with transitioning to colder weather with wind. It is thought EXCEPTIONALLY important to mention though that this product can only be used on plants before they wilt. If used on a plant that is already wilted, the product will block the plant’s ability to rehydrate the leaves.

Good product , using to protect Phontania(Red Tips) from Fungus????
I've used this product many years ago to protect plants from the bitter cold. Worked very well. I just recently started using this product to help protect Phontania from Fungus. Phontania are very susceptible to fungus in high humid states such as the one I live in , Delaware. Last year I lost a dozen of my 60 Phontania's. I was about to give up. Made some changes based on various sources. I alternated every week or two with Fungicides Immunox with Daconil. Added 4 tablespoons of baking soda to the 16 oz hose sprayer with either of these products. Putting in the baking soda first and spraying into sprayer to dissolve the baking soda. Then adding the fungicide, which will foam when sprayed. I seemed to be just getting by with getting rid of the fungus. I just started using Wilt Pruf ( says 1:10, so I set my dial at 1.5 floz on my hose sprayer). The fungus went down from about 95% to about 10% over the course of a month. I'm now doing my second application of Wilt Pruf about a month later. I'm not sure what has made the difference. Alternating the Fungicide products and/or adding the Wilt Pruf. Also, I stopped trimming them in the fall. Waiting till March in our area. As the trimming in the fall seemed to have weakened the plant.

Protects evergreens from winter winds and freezing temps temperatures
I purchase this each year to treat holiday greens after I arrange them in my planters. It does a nice job of protecting the greens and keeping them looking fresh all the way to early spring. It's easy to apply in a spray bottle, but be cautious, it's very waxy and sticky so you might want to protect Anything that you don't want covered with the spray. It also does a nice job of protecting the planted boxwoods from burning due to winter temperatures in high winds.

Browning evergreens
This product was applied to our Christmas tree and outdoor evergreen trees. The outdoor trees are privacy screening evergreens. All plants that had this applied turned brittle and browned. I read about this product on a website after last years browning on the outdoor evergreens. We applied as instructed on the bottle. Our christmas tree did not drop at the top but the lower portion dropped and has begun to turn brown. I will update this review come spring time when it is growing season again.

Due to a health problem, I am not always able to water my orchids when they need to be watered. I used a product similar to this years ago on my orchids and they grew and bloomed wonderfully and I did not have to watch them so closely for their watering needs. I tested this on my less valuable orchids, first, and they are doing very well. I sprayed the rest of my collection several weeks ago and they are doing well. The plants are growing in my air-conditioned house, which pulls the moisture from them. I did get some of the spray on a few blooms on my Phalanopsis and those blooms died. I am not sure if it was the spray or the fact that the blooms were already several months old and may have been ready to drop. A Cattleya has bloomed recently and it was in the early bud stage when I sprayed it. The blooms are beautiful. A few of the pseudobulbs were showing signs of shriveling before spraying. They have fattened back up. I am very pleased to have found another product to help me this way. I would caution all who want to use something like this to try it on your less beloved plants first (in an environment similar to that of your more precious plants). I have not noticed a detrimental effect on the roots as some of them did get sprayed. 11-10-2009 -- It has been 5 months since I used this product on my orchids. They have grown and bloomed wonderfully. By the way, since this coats the leaves, it also helps to reduce the insect population. I have been very pleased with this product.
