Smooth Cool Lighting
This Sylvania antique led bulb looks fantastic with a soft relaxing glow. Being able to dim it is a big plus. I'm using it as my reading light (even though I have a Kindle Paperwhite) The 6.5 watt version gives off plenty of light. The glass feels like it's plastic which is fine with me. I didn't want to drop it to test if I'm correct. The bulb is made in China so I'm hoping Sylvania has a good quality control system because I've purchased other Chinese made bulbs that died very early. As of this review there is a $4.49 shipping charge which is too much. Once it gets a Prime status than it's great price.

Very nice but consider two things: 1) looking at it directly, 2) it's a big bulb
I like vintage lights of this type, and use several, but this is the first LED version I've had. In general I like not only the amber light, but I also like seeing the lighting elements themselves, or at least I did until this bulb. My issue with this bulb is that while the total amount of light is what one would expect from a 60-watt incandescent version of this, it's too concentrated in the 4 vertical LED's and is unpleasant to look at directly. If you're going to use it in a fixture where you're not staring at it, it'll work well, but as an exposed bulb I don't think so.The other thing to note, which I knew when ordering it, is that it's a large bulb. There's nothing wrong with that but the height means that it's going to be more visible in some fixtures than others are, and you may want to take that into account.Neither of the above is a criticism, since the size should be obvious and LED bulbs usually have a more concentrated light. The only criticism I would make (hence the star deduction) is that the package describes this as having an "amber glow" and this bulb does definitely not "glow" unless you have it in a fixture where you can't see the bulb itself.

Fancy and so stylish!
I love this Edison style bull! It's a bit larger than I was originally anticipating but I don't mind at all! It arrived perfectly intact which means the packaging was perfect without anything getting crushed or broken which is a modern marvel. The vintage style of the bulb pairs perfectly with the lamp and office space in my home. The amber finish makes it warmer than regular white LED light. Oh and it's very energy efficient! Definitely something I'd highly recommend. :)

This product is not what the advertising says!
This is what the product description touts: "The high-quality vintage LED bulb last 15 times longer than conventional bulbs and provides beautiful light for years. At 3 hours use per day, this bulb can last up to 13 years. (15,000 hours)." OK, now I realize that it says the bulb can last up to 13 years with 3 hours a day. This is a LIE! I have 10 of these bulbs in my bathroom; we maybe use 3 hours of lightbulbs per day at the most. My bathroom we completely remodeled 18 months ago. You would think then, that I should not have had to replace these bulbs in the last 18 months. Nope, not true. I have replaced at least 6 of them. As a matter of fact, I just replaced one this morning. I will not be buying these bulbs any more. If I have to replace all 10, so be it. Do not buy these bulbs!

Vintage Edison bulb
I love these types of bulbs! They are amber in color temperature and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. I installed these in my kitchen pendant light and they look great! At 590 lumens, they aren't all that bright but it's the mood that counts. These are LED and are dimmable.

Love it ! This fits into a minimalist looking floor lamp that I have, looks vintage and nice
I installed this into a very minimalistic floor lamp that I have. It looks fantastic. Note that this style of lamp — you probably do not want to look directly at it. In my office it sits in an area that is partially blocked. I also have it on a dimmer so I can dim the brightness a bit. This type of bulb is more for mood setting and not for pure illumination.
