Unfortunately, not as advertised. Considerably smaller then stated.Advertised as 6 x 13 inches.Actual size is 5.5 x 11.5 inches.I am sure they work great, but I bought them because they were larger.Too bad.

I wanted to try the planking method after reading and watching very promising recipes;I was very skeptic and I was right because there are very few woods out there that can make the difference smoking and these cedar planks make the difference in making taste and smell your seafood as cat’s pee; the only thing that came out right on these cedar plank was the Briè cheese, that was phenomenal believe me but for lobster forget it, for salmon I had better results with few wood chips of mesquite; one of the principal issues is that with this method you need to cook for a very long time before reaching at least 151 degrees of internal temperature and with a longer cooking time it comes a longer smoking time which with these planks results in cat’s pee flavor (my seafood cooking at 400 degrees was done after 1 hour).I will keep sticking to the traditional chips and 360 degrees even cooking method, don’t waste your money and time.

The product received was not the same size as advertised on Amazon. Description stated that each plank measured 6 inch by 13 inch. The planks I received measured 5 1/2 inch by 11 1/2 inch. Much smaller than I expected and not to my satisfaction. I plan to return them.

I ordered this 8 pack of Alder grilling planks, however, when I removed the outer wrap to use one of the planks, I found that the package contained just 4 Alder planks with the other 4 being cedar. Nothing in the description states that the planks are mixed.

Charging $20 for two planks of wood seems steep. However, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief if it does make the food better. Nevertheless, my concern is over product quality. While one side is sanded to a fine finish, the back side is rough enough to actual produce splinters. So I had to sand it myself. When you're charging this much for a plank of cedar wood, you'd want to see those little details done right.

I got these because I wanted Alder wood panks for Salmon and couldn't find them locally. They are really good and the directions were very clear. I've been using Cedar planks for years but Alder wood is definitely the way to go. Pretty quick shipping and the price was right. I recommend them for any grilling enthusiast.

A Good product but not as wide nor not as smooth as the original one I received with a gift of fish.Had to sand the rough edges so I didn't get splinters in my fingers. BUT after using a few times, the plank was better than original and not needed to be discarded if not put directly over the grill fire.

I bought these planks for grilling salmon and other fish. I soak them for about 2 hours then use them. The food I've cooked thus far has come off the grill delicious tasting!

These are much smaller than indicated in the description, by about two inches in length and width, making them useless for a whole salmon filet, which is what I bought them for. Edit: Reduced to one star because when I put them on the grill to heat, they warped so badly I could not put food on them with out it sliding off. Absolutely useless product.

Came in pack with a couple broken boards ,really thin poor quality

Used my first ever plank bbq recipe last weekend, so I have no comparison, but it did the job with a large, seasoned, centre cut loin pork roast. We served it with a pineapple salsa...mmm!

I paid a premium for 7” wide boards but delivered boards are 5.5” wide Very disappointed.
