Excellent! You'll Feel Empowered & More Intelligent
I work as a clinical counselor and found this book to be very insightful. Most of my clients are of the diaspora are grappling with how racism has impacted self esteem, and caused a lack of cultural pride. I find that the detail in which Dr. Amos addresses the pathology of Black/Afrikan consciousness is even more revelent today, sadly. We truly are needing to fight for our children and provide mentorship to our adults. I appreciate that Dr. Amos provides solutions, rather than just picking at the problem in abstract ways. Dr. Amos had a love for us from the diaspora and its evident from his words and catalogue of speeches and books. This man died too young and from questionable means, like many of our revolutionary men and woman in the ranks. Let us do well with honoring the principles that can be extrapolated from his books. I wish I'd learned about his work sooner. I feel more intelligent after reading Dr. Amos Wilson's books, like I could lecture, and provide more discourse on the issues of race in America.I'd also encourage people to check out his book titled, "Blueprint for Black Power: A Moral, Political, and Economic Imperative for the Twenty-First Century", it's about 800 pages and goes into extensive detail about how to break free from dominant racist culture emotionally, psychologically, and economically.

Amos Wilson was the most brilliant African centered psychologist, historian to have lived. His grasp of language is absolutely beyond brilliant. If you want to understand the psychology of black people, this is the author to read. I don't think there are many intellectuals who can compare. All black people world wide and curious whites and others need to study his books. Mr. Wilson does a phenomenal job of reverse engineering white supremacy and its effects on black people worldwide. I would also add that he writes more about how blacks can empower ourselves rather than strictly blame whites. His books are no easy reads. He is very articulate. Enjoy the magnificence of one of the greatest living Africans. I feel so fortunate to have had the honor to have read his works. May Mr. Wilson rest in peace for eternity. Thank you Mr. Wilson

The late great Dr. Amos was giant in behavioral sciences
The book is a masterpiece. The late great Dr. Amos was giant in behavioral sciences. He had a gift for taking complex subjects and making them simple to understand. I truly miss his teachings and thankful that he still can be seen on youtube. He still doesn't get the exposure he deserves which is truly sad. He should be required reading for any African American who needs to understand the depths of why we are the way we are.

It help to continue to wake me from my sleep!
My little brother introduced me to Dr. Wilson's work and my life has never been the same. He is a brillant man or was, his work is important and easy to understand. That is a point that is often missed when it comes to dealing with the African American community, sometimes our Author's write over our heads. I am all for expanding my vocabulary, not every enjoys reading with a dictionary app. or a dictionary next to them this man's work is a great alternative for such books that do require extra resources to even begin to understand their work and what the goals and task are that need to be accomplished in the black community.

Spendid take on Afrikan thinking...
One of the first lecturers I encountered when realizing the truth about the "history" we are taught, was Amos Wilson. His words struck me to the core of my belief systems and awakened a thirst for knowledge that I can't seem to quench. This book is the first of his books that I ordered and I had a hard time putting it down.OK, we were lied to. OK, we were and are oppressed. For the first time, I can see clearly how the task of doing these things was accomplished by europeans. The psychological breakdown is truly something that should be heard by every Afrikan living in america. Thanks Dr. Wilson, thank you Ancestors!

We salute you Dr Amos Wilson
I am so pleased with this publication and I want to buy more books from Dr. Amos Wilson from this supplier It was in excellent condition and the content is absolutely a masterclass of psychological insight. We are invited to explore how we view history. Basically, we are programmed to view 'history', as a celebration only, however, the book emphasized the importance of learning from the past and provides key evidence to support higher learning. An informative, intellectual book that conveys the importance of understanding Afrikan Consciousness and the role of the system, in dictating and brainwashing the Afrikan. It is emancipating and doesn't teach hate, but love, for self, as we are born into a world that teaches us to love every other race, but the Afrikan. Amazing................
