I now own two of these stands and I love them! This lap stand is easily positionable to a number of different angles to make stitching so much easier. It is nicely finished but bare wood which could be easily stained if you so choose. As i have gotten older i need to use magnifiers to see the really fine cross stitch i do so I was looking for a frame to which i could clip a magnifier. This stand allows me to do that and sit comfortably on the couch or a wider chair to work.Some people have said they can’t seem to tighten the bolts but I think that is user error. The bolts are square headed and must be tighten hard to seat the square part into the wood once that is done It is easy to tighten the wooden nuts with no slippage.I cannot recommend this stand enough. I have been looking for this type of stand for quite a while. Attractive, practical and an amazingly decent price. It will also make a great traveling stand for workshops and longer trips.

I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this stand. The pieces fit together well and they are nice and smooth. I need to spend some more time with it - I know I don't have all of the bolts seated into the wood all the way, so I'm hoping that takes care of my issues when I can find someone to help me with that.I really wish there was some kind of brace between the two legs to keep it from going all wonky when I try and flip the frame over to get to the back. I'm using it on my couch, not on a flat surface, so the legs don't stay in sync. I will experiment more and see if I can wrap something around the legs to keep them both together. I ordered a larger frame, too, so maybe that will help.

I bought a frame big enough for two bigger projects coming up and it is very big! It's easy enough to assemble, though I have no idea how I'll travel with it. I can take it apart, but the box is too long to fit in the Rubbermaid bin I was going to store it in... it works great for what I need it for and can leave it set up while I'm at my current housesit. My only real complaint is that one screw on one side of the scroll frame itself doesn't tighten well and that whole leg will go "floppy" because of it. I've found a screwdriver bit that fits it and helps me tighten it better, but for the cost, I wish it were a little more perfect.

This stand is beautifully built! The packaging was very nice! It went together easily, thanks to the visual photos in the instructions that are written in Hungarian. However, one of the pieces was not the right piece. The left side piece doesn’t have the grooves to fit into the bottom piece. I’m hoping to get a replacement piece. I have submitted a seller feedback review. Not sure how else to get a replacement piece.

This is sturdy. It can be positioned in several positions and stays in that position. the PVC also grips the material well So glad I purchased.

Setup took 5 minutes, instructions were good and it’s fairly intuitive.Built in the Ukraine.Very sturdy, I will be using this on the couch primarily so will use sandbags for the legs if neededIt’s very tight and works well. My back will be thankful.

Bought this for my wife. She says it is easy to use. It was somewhat easy to assemble once I got it figured out. It keeps the fabric tight.The only thing is she has to continue to tighten one side of the frame to keep it in place. But that’s a minor inconvenience.

This frame works just as expected.

It does what you need it to but I think the parts are a bit on the cheaper side. I'm using it for embroidery and so i have to loosen the sides to flip it often. So now it feels like i have to tighten it even more after awhile. The side joints are very easily pushed so it warps easily when your working with it. I do love the clamps that hold the fabric though. That part is very secure. I would opt more a more expensive one next time but this is a good beginner one. I'm not sure how it is a floor stand though. It's quite small for that. I have it on an ottoman and work that way. Possibly good in the lap if you can figure out how to bend the legs to work
