GE WR24X10236 Genuine OEM Door Gasket
Watched few YouTube videos on installing and it snapped in place without too much difficulty - I did remove the door first rather than try to install it while the door was on - once installed a light coat of vaseline prevents the gasket from sticking to the refrigerator opening - gasket worked great, good fit solved the leaking air problem

Fridge door seal
Worked well, was a bit different from the last one I installed. Soak it in hot water to get the kinks out and work it into the seal flange in the door. I set the door on the island in the kitchen and an half hour later it was done !

Fits but doesn't seal.
Install was fairly easy because I replaced the same seal 5 years ago. The problem is that this new seal doesn't contact the refrigerator surface all the way around when the door is closed. It leaving big gaps. I tried everything. Soaked in hot water and used heat gun to no avail. After a day-and-a-half of my holiday weekend spent wrestling with it, I got fed up. So I took several height measurements around the perimeter and the new seal averaged 0.730" in height (meaning how far it protrudes out from the door). I removed the new seal and reinstalled the old seal and took the same measurements. The old seal height averaged 0.810" in height. With the door closed the old seal fully contacts the refrigerator all the way around. I'm in the process of returning the new seal but don't know what I'm going to do. My old seal has a tear in it but at least it works for now. What I don't get is this is supposed to be the exact same seal I bought previously. Amazon even said I'd bought it twice. But the new seal doesn't have the hard black plastic 'ribs' like the old one. See photos. Please excuse the dirt, it's my garage fridge.I agree with another reviewer who said the magnets in the new seal aren't sticking to the refrigerator. Perhaps it's the height of the seal not getting them close enough, or weak magnets. Whatever it is, it doesn't work.

OEM quality & Easy Installation
This appears to be a genuine GE replacement item, was easy to install, and fits fine. This item seals the door fine and temperatures hold as they should. The reason I bought this replacement seal is because I bought a "scratch n dent" refrigerator at a reduced price because the original door seal had a manufacturing defect. The door seemed to seal OK but the seal had an odd fold that was visible even when the door was closed. This replacement seal seems to be of the same quality (minus the defect) of the original. The new seal did come folded up and even laying it out for a day or two didn't help relax it much. I took some advice I found on the Internet & tossed it in the dryer for a few minutes and it came out nice & soft without the folds & installed easily.

No instruction info
Finally got it in, it was a struggle, you need to get it very warm or it won't slide in the groove which is very frustrating, as there are NO instructions sent with it. After the first try, I had to research what went wrong, and found the tip about warming it up. Its working well now which beats the service charge to have a repairman come and do it.

Much Simpler Than I Feared
When I moved in, I noticed that half of the refrigerator door bottom gasket was ripped with the magnet hanging almost to the floor and the compressor constantly running. I was dreading doing this, but as a renter, the refrigerator was a "frreebie" and the owner is not responsible for repairing it.The replacement turned out to be so much easier than I expected. I was armed with the plastic putty knife and a rubber mallet as I saw in the several repair videos I watched. It turned out, all I needed were my fingers to get the new gasket on the track. Two tips: 1) definitely soak the gasket in bathtub hot water and then dry it so the kinks get ironed out and it's so much more pliable and 2) do the two top corners first and work your way down to the bottom. When done, carefully use a constantly moving hair dryer along the gasket with the door closed to "seal" it better and wait an hour before opening the door. Good as new!

It works fine now but of course does not look good and ...
GE Parts had discontinued the original part number for my refrigerator and said this was the replacement for it. It was 2 inches too short for my refrigerator. I had to cut it on each side and put in a piece of the old gasket to fill the gaps. It works fine now but of course does not look good and turned a 10 minute installation into an hour.
