The gloves insulate well. I intentionally held a 350 degree baking dish for several times longer than usual and felt only a slight warmth at the contact points.The gloves are a large size, which I find desirable. "Large" kitchen gloves typically fit me between too tight and rather snugly. These oven gloves are a good, but not tight, fit. They would be a good choice for someone with large hands.As received, one glove had a hole at the junction of the thumb and hand caused by a broken fiber in the outer shell yarn. Fortunately, there was enough slack and my wife had taught me just enough about knitting to repair it and not have the hassle of a return. So, I'm dropping one star for a manufacturing quality issue.

I have bought these gloves three times. The first set lasted 18 months. The second set lasted 12 months. The third set has lasted only 6 months. It seems like the quality is not as good as it once was. We use the gloves to shield our hands while top-loading wood into our Petit Godin stove. Eventually, the gloves wear through on the thumb because this is the touchpoint - where glove meets hot cast iron. The gloves eventually melt with repeated contact. So while I would have given the first set a five star rating, I am down to a 3 star rating. Still - we can put our hands in the flames without getting burnt so we couldn't go without them and I can't find a reasonably priced replacement. I guess we'll just be buying them more frequently.

working in a middle school kitchen results in lots of burns from 4 ovens we are constantly removing food items from...since purchasing these long cuff gloves..no more burns...reaching in the oven without holding until hot pads and removing pans is so much easier..my manager is also going to get a pair for next yr..obviously the price is well worth it...I may buy an extra pair myself since everyone seems to be using mine!!

It works as intended. It comes with 2 gloves (making it a pair) that you can use interchangeably (meaning the glove itself is not specific to the right or left hand). I have used it to carry out pans that has been sitting in the oven for an hour in 450 degree Fahrenheit. I like how long the cuffs are long compared to other gloves. You can feel the warmth when you put your hand with the glove in the oven, but you do not get burn when you touch the pan.

I was really disappointed with these gloves. After using it for a few months on different heat surfaces, I realized that it performs poorly for hot pans coming out of the oven. That's when you REALLY need gloves that work. I started feeling the heat through the gloves walking from the kitchen to the dinning table. On top of that, its not the most attractive gloves and they look like garden gloves with some silicone slapped on it. I am returning these even though I can only get a 50% refund because its not functional for me and will only add to my pile of kitchen rejects or end up at a thrift store. I am perplexed how it ever got such high ratings.

These gloves are easy to put on and cover your entire arm to prevent burning when reaching into the oven. It also has good grips which prevent slipping. Have been using these for years and never had a problem.

The long cuff oven gloves are more flexible than pot holders. They are a safer method of handling hot items from the oven.They are sufficiently long enough to protect my wrist and lower arm. Since I seem to have trouble reaching in to test for doneness without touching an oven rack at some point, the gloves have saved me from unintended burns. For me they are worth the cost.

These gloves are HUGE! You'd have to be a giant in order to for them to safely fit on your hands. I can't imagine that a glove with lots of room in each finger and the hand is a safe means for touching hot items. I purchased these because I liked the idea of extra protection of the long cuffs. I returned them and purchased the  Ove' Glove Hot Surface Handler, 1 Glove (Pack of 2)  instead. They fit better - not completely snug, but at least I don't feel unsafe using them.

I bought these to use as oven gloves, but they are much too big to grip pans properly. Will go back to the standard oven gloves. However they are good quality.

These are as advertised. They are long and prevent you from burning your arms when reaching in the oven. Having a glove instead of a mitt is great as it gives you move control. I highly recommend these.

After trying many gloves, these are finally my answer to handling hot pots. I use them for brewing, but have to wrestle them away from my wife who loves them for the kitchen.

Good product but the glove is made for a person with huge hands...the glove is extremely large!
