Ott-Lite TrueColor Battery Powered Task Lamp

I thought I read the reviews but I should have listened to the negative ones. I opened the box, read the instructions and had I known that this light would have to charge for 12-16 hours after every use, and that each use is only a maximum of 3 hours I would not have purchased. The description of this product is seriously lacking.

I bought this light at a craft store just as a previous customer had. I was only able to use it once and it died. I contacted the ott lite customer service about the issue and they only offered me a discount to buy another. This lamp was a waste of money and time.

I ordered this for my dad and he loves it. The size is perfect for him to use any where....table top, night stand, desk, or work bench. I love the price and the fact it can run on batteries. Wonderful!!!

Light is handy, and works great on A C. However, the battery died with very little use, and replacements are impossible to find.

I love this concept and loved the light, but found it to be Totally worthless after 6 months. Tried to replace the bulb at $32 and would have replaced the battery.. The new lamp is only $39 which seemed like a no brainer. I decided to just buy a new lamp instead . Fortunately I read the reviews and realized the problem was not unique to me. This product is a DUD.

Poorly designed, unfit for its purpose. Waste of money. Heavy, and stopped working as others have reported. Never should have been marketed in the first place. I tried everything. I even found a source for a replacement battery and it still did not work because the connector to the AC was not the same size.

The idea of the light is excellent, perfect for using under battery power in remote or poorly lit places. When the battery failed after 6 months, I contacted customer service. What I did not know,and all buyers should also, is that Ottlite say the battery only has a life of 6-8 months. They also say they cannot replace it or even sell you one. It is not available elsewhere. It is wrong that a company markets a product and admits it will only last 6-6 months.
