I bought a used JD 826 Snowblower that didn't run. Common problem with Techumceh snowblower engines is that fuel sits in the carburetor over the summer and causes corrosion (especially ethanol fuel) to plug things up. I did take my old carb. apart and cleaned it. It ran fine however, the rubber o rings were dry and cracked and still leaked some fuel. For the price of this carburetor, plug, stop fuel valve, ect. I figured, " what the heck, let's try it." It is the correct replacement with all the correctly drilled holes for mounting shield brackets. Everything connected perfectly and the engine started up and ran smoothly. I will make sure to shut off the fuel for summer storage. Worth every penny..

Totally a cheap carburetor. Took old Tecumseh off due to age and for price of this thought would be easier just to swap out. Worked twice and now it pours gas out of bottom of bowl. And butterfly valve gets stuck wide open.

I like it because it was inexpensive compared to OEM. It worked fine when installed and it came with primer bulb, a new fuel shutoff as well as clamps for the gas line and a spark plug. Can't beat it for the price. I was skeptical but it works fine and doesn't leak.

I got this kit for a Craftsman 9HP snow blower that was leaking fuel.The kit was very cheap price-wise, I can't really speak about quality, but I didn't have any issues. I took off the old one, swapped the necessary hardware to the new carburetor, installed it (just the carburetor, none of the other pieces at this time) and there were no leaks and the engine started and ran better than the old, original carb.So far, I'm happy with the purchase.The spark plug probably will never be used, but the rest of the kit seemed good.

My package arrived without a fuel line. I contacted the Seller on a weekend, and they answered that same weekend! So, my snowblower is a MTD 8/24 from 1997. The engine is a HMSK80 Tecumseh. The carb on it was 'adjustable' and had a bowl drain. This one is has neither. Problem? I don't think so. Never adjusted the carb in 22 yrs, and probably drained the bowl 5 times. When I installed this one my machine started right up, but ran at too high an RPM. Unless your 'high idle' is screwed all the way in, think about adjusting the governor linkage. (ps. DON'T let it run at overspeed for two long or you'll probably throw a rod.) That's what I had to do, adjust the linkage. Guess this carb just breathes better! Time will tell.

I bought this Carburetor Kit for my 24 year old Ariens ST824 snow blower; it was running rough. I chose this kit as it included a new spark plug, as I have with other kits in the past. The day before the January 2022 Blizzard I installed this kit including the spark plug and the engine started with a couple of backfires but seemed to run okay. This was not the case when trying to clean up after the blizzard; the engine would run and then stall and backfire once a load was placed on it. Being knee deep in snow, I replaced the 'new' spark plug (even though it was properly gapped) with the 24 year old one and the engine ran like a champ. I eventually replaced that old spark plug with the factory recommended replacement (Champion RJ19LM) and it now runs like new!Long story short: don't buy this kit because it appears to have a 'free' spark plug included.All in all these carburetor kits in general are great as they bring new life to old engines at low cost.

After reading the reviews, decided to take a chance on buying this carburetor. The unit is an exact fit OE aftermarket replacement, comes with preset throttle and choke. No mount or connection issues. Fired up the the snow thrower with no issues, its running like new. The extra accessories were a nice bonus. Can't beat the value, quality of components were fine.

Bought about 3 years ago. Went to start my snowblower the other day and the engine raced away. Disassembled the cover over the carb and the throttle plate was stuck open. Came back to it last night to fully remove the carb from the intake and the whole throttle plate is rusted top to bottom. Tried to clean it up to free it but it was of no use. The original box says it comes with a lifetime warranty, ill see how easy it is to really utilize it.

We were having issues with our snowblower and it turned out that not only did we need a replacement part, the part that was fitted was incorrect. Order received quickly as described and in good condition. Easy to install, parts seem to be of good quality and it made so much of a difference it’s like we bought a brand new machine. Very happy!
