Angels at the table
I finished this book in two days. I had to know how things turn out with Shirley, Mercy, Goodness, Will, Gabriel and the characters Debbie created. Great reading from beginning to end.

Good reading.
This was a good book.. Liked the angles who were a bit mischievous. Had a good ending like most of her books do.

I enjoy the Angels and Mrs. Miracle series but this one was weak
I like that they introduced the new intern angel. By trying to be helpful, he goofs and starts the timeline for two likeable characters too early for their relationship to be successful. Unfortunately, I got hung up on the way the author set up the initial encounter between the leads. Hero is spending New Year celebration with his recently brokenhearted sister in an effort to cheer her up. He becomes separated from her and then texts her that he will find his own way home after he makes a drink date with an attractive stranger. So what happened to the brokenhearted sister ? The author again tries to tell us how brokenhearted sister is again later in the book. If she was so brokenhearted that he took her out to cheer her up, why did he dump her when he had a better option? The hero was damaged at that point for me. His snotty review of his botched meal continued his negative portrayal. If your meal is that bad but your brokenhearted sister's is that good, maybe you should check wth the kitchen to see what was the problem. Of course, something that simple would not have moved the story along. This book was like watching the day time soaps and getting frustrated with the characters mistakes and misconceptions. As angry as heroine was for most of the book, her finally forgiving him didn't feel geniune. I have to think a guy that can get that snarky isn't worth the effort. Finally, the angels keystone cops performance was amusing but really a bit of overkill at times. Angels fans may love it regardless, just not up to her usual offerings.

It was a short story, not a book 📕
Not one of her best novels🤪

Angels in the Sauce
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy mean well, but they always seem to create chaos first. In this trip to earth the angels bring an apprentice Will, and he adds to the Chaos.Lucie was a superb chef, well known for the sauce she served in her new restaurant.Aren was a young journalist who wrote the restaurant review column for the local newspaper under the name of Eaton Wells. They were destined to meet, but Will causes the meeting too soon. He is about to review her restaurant, but neither knows who the other is. The night of the review Aren goes to her restaurant and the angels each add a bit of seasoning to her sauce, which he writes is the worse thing he's ever tasted. So follows the plot. Gabriel is not pleased with the quartet, but all works out well, and this was a delightful holiday read. Diane Gold Koenig

An enjoyable and easy read.
I enjoyed the way the book was written but it took me a few pages to get into the book as this was a follow on book and i had not read the first one. You can imagine the angels and there differing personalities as they plough ahead with trying to get things to go the way they want with the humans they meet and not realising that each action takes the humans lives in a slightly different direction than what was intended in the grand scheme of things. A book i could not put down.

Once again it was a truly wonderful read. It's only the second book on Debbie Macomber angels but I must admit that I'm ready to order another one right away .
