Could use some editing
Interesting recipies. But could have done with some better editing . For example, author mentions making sure the papaya remains crisp in one intro, but the recipie the intro is about doesn't call for papaya. There were other errors which distracted from the recipies. Photos were also small, so they lack oomph. All that said, many of the recipies look interesting and the instructions are given decent enough write ups. Three and a half stars rounded up.

Simply Authentic and Delicious Vietnamese Cooking
I really love this cookbook. So far every recipe I’ve tried has been so delicious and easy to follow. I love eating Vietnamese food and usually only eat it when I visit my mom so this takes me back to my childhood. Best part is working with ingredients that I already have in my pantry to create an authentic meal.

She loves what gives her a living too
The recipes a re recommended and are fairly easy to follow. The overall theme of the book is to enjoy food and family. This is an excellent resource. It is interesting to me how some people, like the author, can enjoy food so much without getting fat. I think her emphasis is on serving, and I think healthy food choices are important too. Still it is a bit of a paradox to relish food without adding the excess pounds. Bravo!

Amazing recipes! I made the banh khot
Amazing recipes! I made the banh khot, lime-cured beef carpaccio and the mango and chicken salad last weekend. They all turned out super delicious and the directions were very easy to follow. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in delicious food.

Great buy!
The book is beautifully made and the recipes look really good. I can't wait to try everything. You can tell the author put a lot of thought and hardwork into this cook book. It's almost like reading a good book but you also get recipes !

Absolutely Beautiful.
In addition to the recipes being super easy and yummy, the photos in this book are amazing and totally worth the purchase alone. I made the chicken broth pho and it was fabulous.

Gorgeous pictures, recipes and book in general.
A great quality recipe book, it looks aesthetically pleasing on your shelf even if you never open it. Even if you never make a recipe out of it, the stories behind the food and Thuy's childhood etc make for great reading. The recipes require quite a lot of ingredients but as is typical with vietnamese food and the pictures always look mouthwatering.

Brilliant recipes for delicious dishes.
This book delivers on all levels. The dishes are varied and scrumptious. They may involve a lot of prep but they are well worth it. Search out the more rare ingredients and indulge in an explosion of flavours. I have made eight of the recipes so far a plan on making many more.

Fantastic cookbook,even for the beginner.
If your someone who wants to try out something different (even if you’re not professional cook) this is one cookbook your not going to keep on your bookshelf collecting dust,as all of the recipes are really easy to follow and you get great results at the end of it. All of the recipes are so adaptable, if you can’t get hold of a certain ingredient of you don’t like one of them, you can easily change it for something else.

Beautiful book with delightful fresh flavours
Lovely book with delicious recipes to tempt the palate. Loving the fresh ingredients that fill this delightful book, and the exciting challenges it offers to someone who knows nothing about Vietnamese food! From pho to summer rolls to caramelised pork and salmon. Hot, cold, sweet, sour, spicy, nurturing, and always beautiful ... Thuy walks us through it all.

Thuy rocks the cooking world!
Amazing recipes! The flavours are astounding. Concise directions. I don't think this cookbook is for the beginner cook unless you are up for a bit of a challenge. This is not to say the recipes are complicated but you need to put love in your cooking. If you have ever eaten at Little Viet Kitchen, Thuy, will tell you that herself and her food speaks for itself. The only way to have these recipes at home is if you cook from the heart out of this book. They don't do take-away.
