Works great
Love these! We use on our patio and flying insects get on them not us. Only downside is the lizards try to get the bugs and get stuck.

Poor product
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These look good so I got them for my porch. One of them has the sticky stuff on only one of the six sides. The other has sticky stuff on all 6 sides. I've caught one bug in 3 days. It wasn't even a fly. EDIT: I took them down. The second bug it caught was a bumble bee. I had to rescue the bee. We have the long skinny fly tapes around too and they are covered in flies with not a single bee. It seems this one is not attractive to flies.

Best outdoor fly trap
Very easy to construct and hang. I am always amazed at how many bugs this thing traps, I don’t think any insect that lands can escape the stickiness. This trap has no smell but still manages to attract plenty of flies and other small insects. I have ordered this multiple times, they even hold up in incliment weather or the AZ summer sun.

They work
Deer flies. Horrible, relentless, biting deer flies bothering me and my dogs in our back yard to the point we don’t want to go out recently. Sprays don’t deter them but these sticky traps have cut the population way down. It’s a terrible way to go though and the traps attract pollinators and other harmless insects as well. I feel bad seeing them struggle and buzz, stuck there for days but the flies won’t quit otherwise so they stay posted. Unlike other fly traps these don’t stink or attract more flies to the yard and they look almost like decorative lanterns so that’s a couple of additional pluses. They certainly work.

Great fly trap
We live on a cattle farm and I love how these keep flies away from the door. Even through fall months these traps work well on flies.

This blue one is pretty ineffective. Buy the green one.
I bought the green ones (fly stick) for indoor (no protective cage) and tried it outdoors. It caught hundreds of flies, but also caught a bird (twice, two different sticks). I bought this blue one with a cage (didn't realize they had a green with cage) and hardly any insects of any kind are stuck on it. Found the green with cage, and it works much better. I guess the green is more attractive to the insects (flies, yellow jackets, sweat bees, but NO honey bees). I suggest going with the green only. In the photo of both, I tried to lighten it up to see better. The blue was out for about two weeks, the green only one week. The second picture was the indoor stick, used outside, near a bunch of flies. I would recommend the indoor over both the caged versions, except for the birds that got trapped. The indoor seems to mix blue and green, is smaller, and way more attractive to flies (see photo). I agree, that it's $10 per tube, and it seems a little excessive for cardboard with stickiness on it, but it sure beats a fly swatter. I also have the fly bags by the same company, and they work really well, but you don't want to be downwind of them. They smell like a rotting animal.

Works a little too well
We love these. I am not getting bug bites like I was. However they do also catch butterflies and small lizards so that was sad. You'll see them covered!! Try to hang them where the lizards can't get to them. Not sure how to save the butterflies though. Bees and wasps do not seem interested in them. It is mostly flies and mosquitos.

I didn’t get even one deer fly bite this year. We live in the country on a large property and I put one at each front door and one at the back door for the deck and I’m really pleased with how well they worked and especially that they really are odour free.

I would have never bought this product if I knew it attracted honey bees. I am sick! I have 5-6 honey bees stuck to the awful glue. It hasn't caught many flies.

Not that great

Was over rated on reviews. Bugs were sticking to it but not so much the horse flies I was led to believe would be attracted. Everything was stuck to it including very valuable bumble bees. I have paid less for effective fly traps. It is just overpriced sticky paper that looks like a water surface. I see the benefits if you want to randomly kill everything thirsty that flies. Not what I wanted. Best kept inside a building so you don't kill bees.
