I used this auger bit for fence post holes, and it handled the job really well. The quality feels strong, and the functionality was exactly what I needed. In sandy soil it cut with speed and ease of planting, though hitting a root did show how much power it transfers to the drill. Definitely recommend using it with an auger. The durability looks solid so far, and overall the ease of use made the project much smoother.

This thing drills through clay dirt like its nothing welded handle to make it hand operated and works great and very little effort to drill hole my tractor with post hole digger had troubles going down just a foot but this thing drilled down like nothing was there and by hand of all things drilled a deeper hole faster than my tractor did

I abused this auger digging 18 post holes full of roots and rocks and it is as good as new still. It was shaving off small bits of large roots and small ones it just chews right up. I used an adapter and an extension with this on an electric drill. Paired with a digging bar and a lot of ambition I think I can dig a post hole anywhere.

Bought to mix/turn/aerate 1-2 cubic yard hot composting piles in place. So far, it works well for mixing/aerating compost piles. Saves hours of labor doing frequent turns such as in the Berkeley hot composting method. Bought and modified a large drill adapter to use the 6" auger bit in a large drill that I use for mixing plaster and concrete. XtremepowerUS should sell such drill adapters for similar lighter weight applications. On first inspection, it could use some more welds along the main shaft where the spiral flutes attaches if used for heavy earth auguring ( minus 1 star ). If I ever decide to use it for post hole digging with a proper power head, I will probably add a few more welds.

I bought my electric auger at an estate sale about a year ago. It was $99 & the internet showed costs of between $225 & 350 at the time. We have a lot of clay soil & digging isn't easy. This worked really well. I bought the bigger bit for planting & could be used for a 4x4 post if need be. I was amazed at how well it works. Much easier then gas powered. For planting shrubs & small trees it's great. I have used it once with a portable generator & it worked with it. Delivery was quick & on time.
