Great power distribution unit.
This was the suggested power distribution unit for the Heat n Glo replacement blower unit. Works well and fairly easy to install.

It works - the Fan outlet requires a jumper wire
It works fine. I wish they had included a drawing or some instructions. The fan outlet is actually switched, it is not hot all the time. There are a few options for how to wire a fan. Most fans come pre-wired with a magnetic mount thermal switch and a speed control. In this case, you plug the fan into Rem/Aux or Trans outlet. These two outlets are powered all the time. I you want use the Fan outlet, you can add a jumper wire with two spade terminals. This is shown in red in the attached picture. Some fan kits come with this jumper, some do not. This will make the Fan outlet hot all the time. If you wanted to get fancy, you could wire the magnetic mount thermal switch directly to these terminals. This would switch the Fan outlet on when the fireplace gets hot. So that explains why the Fan outlet appears to be dead - it requires a jumper or a switch to turn it on.
