International Spy Museum's Handbook of Practical Spying Paperback – July 6, 2004

This is a brilliant, humorous and suscinct introduction to the ethos of spying. The spy is not a technologist nor a SWAT officer, but someone trained in "awareness" and able to approach discreetly her objective to get "intel". This book puts forward the essence of that spirit and the regular behaviour to be acquired, even if it precludes intentionally the sordid side. For that maybe you should read John Le Carre.

Ok, i bought this book, mearly on the fact that i like spys, wether it's 007's James Bond, Burn Notice's Micheal Weston, or little know video game spys, and i have to say, it's a nice little book thats better if it's not taken too seriously. The book does offer some helpful tips on how to use spy like tactics in real, everyday life, such as someone stealing the last drink or snack from the fridge, or a neighbor stealing your paper. although it's kinda short, it's still a nice book to flip through when you're bored or need some spy help, i got mine last year and i still read through it, so if you would like to know some helpful spy tips, or are looking for an enjoyable book, pick this up

This book doesn't really have any deep "spying" information, but I enjoyed the anecdotes and trivia from the history of spying, which I would never have known if I didn't read this book. The book is well-written and even a bit funny at times. It also includes some smart travelling tips.

Great book, pack with a lot of information that can be use anywhere. It also has common sense tips for any situation you may face in any environment.

I admit that I bought this book on a different premise than most readers. I wanted to learn more about how to write a spy novel. This book was directed at a different kind of reader, one who may want to be a spy. As such it provided a lot of practical insights. Yep, being a spy is a lot more than being another James Bond.- Victory Crayne

The books I ordered from Amazon were very helpful and wonderful resources for the espionage unit I am doing in my classroom. This book came in handy before I did the unit because it gave me some background information.

I hear the Spy Museum in DC is great, and this is the book they have available. Fun little read for spy book enthusiasts. Great price and condition through Amazon.

Exelent book of how Real Spys work , if you like the 007 movies this book is a great source of info into the real spy world.
