Patina: How to Create & Preserve (Performance How-to)

Great book. The book is written very well. And is very easy to read and understand. Kevin tetz tells step by step on how to paint patina and how to rust metel . He even give you measurements to mix paint to make certain colors. Kevin Tetz is a great painter and is great at teaching on how to paint. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do a patina paint job on their ride.

My interest in this topic surrounds a vintage truck with terrific looks, and how to preserve the looks as they are today. With various spots of paint loss, primer loss, bare steel, and everything in between, tips for preservation to the appearance today is what I am looking for. This is an original, unrestored vehicle that I want to preserve, not something that I want to restore.This book is more targeted at making an existing car look more weathered, and then preserving the level of that "re-created" appearance. The techniques and approach are interesting and valuable, however not in keeping with my aversion to taking the truck apart and restoring it, then making it look old again artificially by applying false patina.

The publication describes several types of patina and how to achieve those effects. It also tells the reader how to preserve and care for the natural patina they may have on their vehicle. Very good book to have.

This book sucks. It's not useful information. It's not a gallery or showcase, it's a bad version of fake patina on a vw bug. It doesn't look good, old out patina. Just kind of crappy

I was interested in the step by step of how to prep and preserve real patina. This book lacks in that. Disappointing given the title.

I enjoyed it, it has some unique ideas on how to make the paint job look like the original
