The real wonderful pistachios
These are the best pistachios I've ever had. I don't know what they put in the ground there, but these pistachios are larger and tastier than any other brand I've tried. I've purchased many bags now and the quality has been the same in each one.

I really liked these a lot
I really liked these a lot. The lightly-salted flavor is a nice compromise between optimum health and getting some extra zest in a snack. Sadly, for health reasons, I'll be going to the unsalted ones after trying these and the unsalted ones -- but for my blood pressure, not because there was anything wrong at all with these. For me, the Fiddlyment 5 lb. Pistachios have consistenly been fresh and of high quality. About 90% of the shells are very easy to remove by hand with my somewhat arthritic hands. The other 10% or so generally open pretty easily with a bit of prying from something like a screw driver. If I had my hands of 35 years ago, only 1% of the nuts would be hard to open. The bag was easy to open with scissors and reseals very nicely numerous times, as I consume the bag -- to keep the freshness in and any bugs out. Pistachios are expensive, but compared to typical local grocery store (i.e. Krogers) quality, selection, and pricing per pound, all things considered, I plan to stick with these as long as the quality remains consistently high.

FABULOUS QUALITY solid price per pound - GREAT Product!
I have been providing pistachios at my desk for the past 18 months. Due to health concerns, I've switched to low salt and over the past several months I've tried many different producers' products. These are hands down, the BEST. Pros: 1 The five pound bag is easy to open without destroying the built in zip closure! Three openings later it's still fully functional! 2 The nuts are large for pistachios. On a 0 -10 scale with 0 being pea sized and 10 looking like almonds, these are a respectable 7 or 8. Very plump! 3 The pistachios look, smell and taste very fresh. There is just a touch of moisture that makes them have a texture that seems extra fresh and the taste is AMAZINGBALLS. 4 For Amazon Prime members, the free shippings prices these nuts a little below the ones sold by my local large grocery chain and the quality is better than the WallyWorld offerings for about the same cost. Cons: 1 None noted (empty shells are rare) After a great deal of searching, these are by far the best quality pistachios for the dollar. At the time of this review they were selling here on Amazon for about nine dollars a pound.

Frequent Buyer!
I love these pistachios and have bought the 5lb bag several times over the past three years. They are ALWAYS fresh and delicious! I have found, through buying them often, a good method to keep them fresh. As soon as they arrive, I separate them into a number of small plastic bags. That way they stay airtight til you’re ready to eat them, and they’re handy to grab a baggie and go. They stay like the day they arrived, as opposed to opening and closing the big bag, which lets air in and reduces freshness. I tried a big plastic bin, but it’s the same as big bag, you keep opening and closing it exposing the ones that remain. So dividing them up is by far the best. These pistachios are great and there’s no waste of shells without nuts. There are plenty of nuts without shells at the bottom!

I like them.
These pistachios are great. After reading negative reviews I approached my newly arrived 5 lb bag w some trepidation. I inspected before opening looking for insects, cocoons, empty shells, debris, etc. I saw none of that and observed the nuts looked of premium size, good color, and appetizing. I opened and promptly downed about 1/4 lb w a Manhattan chaser. Nuts were crisp, sweet, plump, and generally up there with the best I've had. Advertised as lightly salted, I found that to be so. Here in the northeast my experience has been that good pistachios appear in the stores around Thanksgiving, peak in quality between then and Christmas, and slowly decline until early Spring after which it's best to wait until next Thanksgiving before indulging again. It's mid-January and these I'm eating are at their peak. I will be interested to see what is delivered a few months from now when I order again. As you may have guessed, I highly recommend these Fiddyment Farms, In shell, lightly salted pistachios. Buy and enjoy.

Good tasting for lightly salted but TOO MANY EMPTY SHELLS
Well the are good pistachios of course they aren't as good as the regular salted ones but if you are addicted to them and want to be healthier these are the way to go since the main brand name lightly salted are near impossible to find in any good quantities. I will list the reasons I like these along with the one reason I dropped a star: 1. The huge bag at a decent price is great for a family that eats a lot of these like mine. 2. They taste good especially for only being lightly salted. 3. They are PEANUT FREE which of course pistachios are but a lot of companies use machines that process peanuts so it is a bonus because my kid has a peanut allergy. 4. They all seem to be ripe enough and cooked well enough where you don't have those that are almost impossible to open without breaking a nail or a tooth. All of that being said I dropped one star because there was an excessive amount of empty shells by excessive I mean there were easily visible empty shells in the bag just by glancing and every handful I grabbed had at least two empty shells in it which might not sound like much but considering this bag probably has upwards of 100 handfuls you can see where it adds up. I hate to say it but there are so many it almost seems as if they were purposely mixed in.

Pistachios the missing Nut
A wonderful tasting pistachio, lightly salted extremely fresh great product. The downside is a fair percentage of the shells are empty, that’s right no nut inside this is the first time I’ve encountered this buying pistachios in volume, but it is a fairly large amount of empty shells.
