Absolutely brilliant book. To learn English language.

Great book for self-study of english grammar.

It seems a good book. I got it just few days ago. But it easy to follow. Short lessons on the left page and exercises on the right and you can check the answers at the back of the book.

This book is already a huge best seller. Simple explanation with examples followed by exercices not exciting but it works.

I think this grammar book is English learners' best friend. I started using it over 30 years ago with 1st edition of this book, and now the latest version is 5th edition. If you want to learn, improve or even teach (British) English, just pick up this book. Two things to note: 1) there is a 'normal' textbook version like this and also the version that comes with an e-book that you can access online as well as a paper book. The latter is a little more expensive, but it will be useful if you want to access it online either on a smartphone or an iPad. Another fact 2) is that there is a similar grammar book for a complete beginner, an elementary version of this series called 'Essential Grammar in Use' by the same author. The cover of the book is red, so you don't get confused. So if you already have some idea about English grammar and have some vocabulary, then this grammar book will be perfect. But, unfortunately, the copy I received had minor damage on its edges, which I wish Amazon had checked before despatching it, for this reason, I've given 4 stars, but otherwise, I would've happily given 5.

I even carried the book during travel and used it on flights to make productive use of downtime. Overall Opinion: This book is a must-have for intermediate learners who want to improve grammar confidently and independently. It’s well-structured, easy to understand, and packed with exercises that reinforce learning. I highly recommend it for students, professionals, or anyone aiming to write and speak English more accurately. Definitely worth the investment!

Il y a 335 pages d'exercices de grammaire et à la fin les corrigés. C’est un livre obligatoire pour certaines écoles. Je trouve qu'il est bien conçu et qu'il y a énormément d'exercices.

The book has excellent content and delivery went as promised, but it arrived without the protective plastic wrap (which all new books come with) and was a bit dusty and dented. That is my only complaint, though it is still usable.

This book is a deal-maker for intermediate English language and very helpful in terms of improving both spoken and written English.
