When I purchased a Food Saver, my fear was being stuck purchasing bags that would cost a fortune. With the idea that I wanted to save money by buying food in bulk, or saving what I had already made by vacuum sealing it, I didn't want to spend a ton of money doing so. I wondered to myself, 'Why do these bags have to be so expensive?'I really do wish I purchased my food sealing system from Weston. After doing way more research than one should do on a food sealing system, I came to the conclusion that Weston is the company I should have started with. Yes, there initial cost is astronomical in comparison, however they have their business model right, where the cost to get started is high, but the cost over time is low.Now on to the bags....These bags work just as well as any other vacuum sealing bag I have used (Food Saver). The material seems thinner, however it works just fine, and I have yet to have one not seal correctly, or loose its vacuum.This size of bag is great for preparing frozen meals, storing fish fillets, and even small articles of clothing to keep them dry (Socks, underwear, gloves).I will always look to Weston for more bags, because the price is reasonable, and the quality is great. Even though I wish I started with Weston products, I will probably run the life of my current Food Saver first before I dive into purchasing a Weston brand food vacuum and sealing system.

I have been using Weston vacuum sealer bags instead of Foodsaver brand's bags for over two years now and am very satisfied with their performance and value. These quart size bags are similar in construction and equal in thickness to Foodsaver's bags, and they hold a good seal, protect foods from freezer burn equally well, and perform just as well in the freezer and microwave.I use them for storing meats in the freezer and for sous vide cooking. At the time of this review 44 quart size Foodsaver bags are selling for $19.99 plus shipping on the manufacturer's site making this package of 100 at the current price of just under $22 (shipping included) an outstanding value. Why spend more than you need to when this product offers the same quality and performance for so much less? Buy these. You'll be happy you did.

These bags are working really well for me. I use them with my Foodsaver for freezing and for sous vide cooking. They have held up great under both temperature extremes, and I haven't lost any food to freezer burn and have had no leaks during the cooking process. These are good quality bags at a good price.UPDATE: My unused bags started curling up during storage. I have to cut about an inch or so off before they will slide into the machine. I now store them in the flattened box with something on top to weigh it down so the bags stay flat.

This item is to fly and when I get meat from the market I break everything down and use these for all my meat I also can pre marinate my meat and then seal. Nice and thick so what the whole thing in boiling water and cook what's inside before you even open love this product

Great size. After losing an inch of bag with sealing it still hold a quart.

Good quality but price could be better.

I had never vacuum-sealed food before, and I'm so glad that the Weston 65-0501-W Professional Advantage Vacuum Sealer, 11" and Weston quart-size bags (100 in a box) were recommended to me. I also saw that this Weston sealer is recommended by America's Test Kitchen. A super easy process! These bags held up perfectly and are easy to remove from the vacuum sealer once sealed. Highly recommended.

These are amazing for my spaghetti sauce, freeze it theme use boil water then let us simmer till hot. Awesome

Love them better because they are thicker

These vac sealer bags are great. Very good quality heavy plastic and the seal holds after many months in storage to keep foods fresh. Zipper is convenient. Would buy again. A+
