FREETALK Everyman

I've purchased several different types of headsets, and find the Freetalk Everyman to be simple to use, light weight, comfortable, with good sound quality, and fairly reliable. I regularly use them for long teleconferences (six hours at a time) without discomfort. I have purchased several, and did have one fail (which is why I gave it four stars and not five). I keep buying more when I want a headset.

.. but could be more durable. The headphones are very clear and the mic is excellent. I use this everyday in my work, so admittedly, my "more durable" comment is relative. the detachable mini pin headphone jack is a great idea, but there must be some impedance mismatch between the headset and my phone (I've tried several). It works but people say I'm hard to hear.I usually have to replace this headset every year to eighteen months.

My second one. Works well and folds up for portability.

This really is a great headset and I've had it for years. Great quality and wonderful sound on Skype or for listening to music. I originally bought it about 4 years ago, but I had it stored away for a while. When I checked it the other day, I found that the very thin foam covering the ear pieces had completely disintegrated. Of course, something like this can be expected to happen with time, but I wish there were replacements since my set is still in pristine condition otherwise and works as well as the day I bought it. I would like to use it for watching movies on my computer, for Netflix and for Amazon Prime Streaming -- the sound is that good. I have a Sony headset and at times the large ear muffs can be a little warm when I'm using it.

I bought this headset years ago from Skype. They don't sell it any more, so I'm glad to see that someone does. It is by far the best headset I have ever used. It is feather light and comfortable, easy-to-wear for hours. Sound quality is wide range and superb, completely acceptable for music as well as voice. It's plug-and-play USB for computers, but the clever design also features an analog 1/8" jack for the headset only (not the mic), so you can use it to listen to any device. If you use Skype as your primary means of voice communication, you'll love this. Lean back, relax, be comfortable, talk and listen with both hands free and keyboard noise not interfering with your conversation. I haven't tried the Plantronics products Skype is pushing now, but I think they made a big mistake to drop this one, and I really hope that this product stays around, because when mine wears out, I just want another one. Maybe I should buy another one now.
