Good book, needs more durable cover
I would give it 5 stars if it had a better quality cover. I bought the paperback version and it's really soft and flimsy. It would be much nicer in the hardback version. Overall, the storyline is really nice and I think helps keep the kids' attention. My 6 and 7 year olds seemed to like it.

Not what I was expecting!
Where to start with this book?As a Christian, I was excited about reading this book to my toddler son. I was expecting an accurate story about the true meaning of Christmas. The author tried her best, but she left half of the story, the one about Nicholas, untold!Nicholas is not a function character, but a man who served and honored God all of his life and whose heart would break to know that he has been made into the center of Christmas. Let's tell the story as it is!Story wise, the book left out half of story, the part about Nicholas. He "did not need to sit tight, drink his milk, and eat his cookies" as a child tells him the story of the Savior he already knew!Quality wise, this is not a book, but an overpriced booklet. For starters, the quality of the book binding is not worth almost $9! The book, if we can call it that, looks pretty cheap, like one of those booklets you get on the mail for free. The story? It is as poorly executed as the quality of this booklet. I actually tried to send it back, and they would it take it. I did get a refund for this item. So, as I won't be reading this half fictional boooklet to my toddler, it is going to go the trash.Even though it presents the awesome story of The First Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ , our Savior, completely accurately; it diminishes the true story of Nicholas: a man who honored God and served others all of his life.Let's no create a fictional stories to satisfy our desire to do what is right. The author had a great, honest, truthful point about Jesus being the true meaning of Christmas, and that's what my son knows. But he also knows that Nicholas was a man who did good, served others and honored God with his life. Let's tell the story as it is!Very disappointed on this book. Won't be reading it to my toddler and I definitely don't recommend it.

This is not the best book for helping very young children understand the meaning ...
This is not the best book for helping very young children understand the meaning of Christmas. The idea is great, but I think it is more appropriate for older children.
