It looks like the real thing, but it’s not. So it does not pass on disease to those who use it. My husband loves the idea of using this to scratch his back. There is no fear of it breaking off while using it either. I would easily buy this as a gift for a male friend.

I returned the first backscratcher due to broken claw in shipping no problems upon arrival of second scratcher the handle was loose from metal

This item was purchased as a gift and when it arrived it very detailed and made very well. However right away we noticed how beat up the box was for it. When we took the item out, like others have mentioned, it arrived broken. The tail of the alligator was missing, but we did find what looks like the strap inside the box(again no tail attached).

I really wanted to like this but the tale of the alligator decoration was broken when I received it and the handle is too short and needs to be several inches longer

One of the nails was chipped. And the handle was loose to the point where it eventually came off. Had to re-glue it myself.

Wonderful back scratcher for someone who's a Florida Gator fan. My Dad loved it. You just got to be careful because it really works well and can hurt if you press too hard.

This is very sturdy. The handle is cast iron, so it is heavy. works like a charm.
