SAMSON XPD2 Lavalier USB Digital Wireless System

I use this mic to enhance the audio on my livestream videos. I do online livestream fitness videos and the sound is crisp, loud and clear. It works very well and my clients even commented on how great it all sounds. Super easy to connect - plug and play - simply plug in the USB into your computer, turn on the mic box which you attach somewhere on your body and it automatically pairs instantly out of the box. The sound is professional and would suit any type of use including commercial in my opinion. I highly recommend this product and I would buy again in a heart beat.

I bought this to do some easy web videos via my iPhone. I work in broadcast engineering for a career, but this application is just for fun. I did not want to spend a lot of money but I wanted it to sound decent. This unit is the ticket, with a few caveats- 1) the stock mic isn’t that great. The iPhone built in mic sounds much better. I found that if you purchase the JK MIC-J 044 Lapel Microphone Lavalier Microphone (Amazon), the quality is drastically improved and almost perfect. The mic is $30 (BTW, in the broadcast world, all of this is very cheap. $1500+ is typical for pro event wireless mics). 2) this uses the license-free 2.4 GHz band, the same band that your wifi and Bluetooth devices use. As a result, if you go far away from the receiver or use this say in a crowded venue, you won’t be able to go far without hearing some audio hits. If you are close to the receiver (within 15’) or in an open area that is not super packed, you’ll be fine. Finally, if you’re using this with an iPhone, you’ll need an Apple lightning to USB adapter. Buy the genuine Apple. Chinese knockoffs are problematic.

The range is lacking! I can barely get 5ft away from the antenna piece and it begins to break up at 10ft it is completely gone. I purchased to give me the opportunity to move around while I was conducting my online auction shows. Would not recommend if you need to be more than 5ft from the antenna. If staying close it works great.

I have hosted AV for small-large business meetings and seminars for a long time, and have used portable PA systems in the past for smaller meetings... which is bulky and honestly don't sound that great. I got this mic, was able to plug into computer - then just send the audio out to a small external speaker and viola!!! a perfect little portable PA system that sounds Much Better that a separate PA system with mic built it. So I can play audio from powerpoint, and have lapel mic working at the same time - using only my computer. Sound was amazing - this little mic picks up very well and feeds back very little - AWESOME!!

I’m a small business owner who uses Zoom for client appointments. I work in health + fitness coaching and need the ability to move around and demonstrate concepts fluidly. Prior to this mic I had gone through a couple of the Kimafun wireless options but they started cutting out around 6 months of regular use and the sound quality wasn’t great. Looking to step up a bit, I purchased this mic only to return it for a replacement and I’ll now be returning that as well before getting something a bit pricier. Hermes’s my breakdown: -Better audio quality than the cheapy wireless mics -Pairing and setup were simple. -Mic itself could be angled up toward you a little, which was nice if it’s sitting horizontally on a regular T shirt collar. -Upped the gain all the way but even maxed out and at full volume I almost had to shout to be consistently heard and I’m a loud person. Every other mic I have access to is louder; MacBook built-in, iPhone headphones even. -Batteries need to be changed weekly at the rate I use it. -Battery drain is indicated by a gradual fading of an indicator light that you won’t see easily because it’s on your hip. You’re left guessing as to when you’re truly about to run out of juice. -Hip clip was very tight and needed to be manually loosened. -The mic started cutting out within a week of use. Happened with both units I ordered. -The USB body is so big that on my Anker dock attachment it blocks the other USB A port so I had to purchase a USB extender. In the end the mic was an improvement in sound quality but a hassle on most other fronts. It sounds like other folks have had a good experience but it looks like I’ll be moving up a price bracket. I like the product. It works well and was very easy to connect to my laptop for Zoom calls. But I have an intermittent short in the microphone component. How can I get a replacement part?

At the price, I expected better sound quality. Sound input volume is too low, even with device and software gain controls set high. Sound quality disappoints, lacking a frequency range, leaving speech somewhat muffled. Now, I have to choose to throw it away, give it to an enemy, or return it. However, I would not want the seller to disappoint someone else with it.

I've been using this lavalier mic for Zoom and MS Team calls for most likely a year now. I have had very little problems with it. The connection is good and never loses sync (however, I am just a few feet from the USB piece that plugs right into the computer. This microphone is a good balance between the cheap computer mics and the expensive podcasting type microphones. Not only that, but if you need to move about, you have the freedom to do so.

El micrófono que envían es de pésima calidad. Parece de juguete. Tuve que comprar otro micrófono para que funcionará. Ni siquiera se oye. Y no quise devolverlo, porque el transmisor samson si es muy bueno.

This product was delivered on time (rush delivery). I purchased this item for live streaming on Zoom. It worked out of the box on my MacBook. The sound quality is good, but this is not a high-end microphone (it meets my expectations). The screw for volume control on the portable transmitter needed some adjustment. A small screw driver is enclosed in the portable receiver to make the adjustment. I like the LED on the USB receiver which lights up if it is paired with the transmitter. Makes it easy to check that the transmitter is on/has not run out of battery.

Nach ewig langer Suche nach einem kostengünstigen, aber vernünftigen kabellosen Lavaliermikrofon bin ich auf das Samson XPD2 gestoßen. Es ist super einfach zu verbinden, unter Windows 10 muss nur der USB-Dongle angeschlossen, und auf Pair gedrückt werden, und der Sender eingeschaltet sein, schon ist es innerhalb von 2-3 Sekunden verbunden. Im Lieferumfang ist sogar ein kleiner Schraubenzieher, mit dem das Gain (Lautstärke) am Sender einstellen kann. Die Sprachqualität ist super, auch wenn man etwas nachhelfen muss, um einen wirklich professionellen Sound herauszubekommen. Von Werk aus klingt das Mikrofon recht mittig, und nimmt auch erstaunlich viele Tiefmitten auf. Der obere Frequenzgang ist sehr angenehm, und es sind nicht zu viele zischende „S“ Laute oder künstlich überbetonte Höhen zu hören. Um allerdings eine klare und präsente Stimme zu bekommen, muss man im Nachgang die hohen Frequenzen um die 8Kz etwas anheben. Mit etwas Erfahrung in der Nachbearbeitung von Sprachaufnahmen lässt sich hier aber ein absolut solider Sound herausholen. Wenn ich nicht wüsste, dass es nur 65€ gekostet hat, könnte ich es im Nachhinein nicht mehr als solches Erkennen. Eingesetzt wird das Mikrofon jetzt für die Social Media Videos meines Tonstudios, und dafür ist es wunderbar.
