Does this have any fumes or fragrance?

I've used this a few times. There are no fumes and only a light fragrance, not unpleasant at all. Your hair feels amazing afterward.

How long does the opened dphue Root Touch-Up Kit last (for the second application)?

As long as you need it to. The dye is not activated until it is mixed with the base so they can stay in there individual tubes for a long time.

How does this product work? Is it a powder, wax, dye, and does it need to be applied after shampooing, and does it cover solid gray roots well?

It’s a tube and a pouch of ‘cream’ like substances you mix in a bowl. Comes with an applicator brush. Covered mine solid. I’d say higher quality than the normal off the shelf boxed products.

How often can you safely repeat use of this application ?

I love this hair color. It is easy to use and does give a beautiful color. It was recommended by my professional hair dresser in nyc. I have been using it for a year now with no problems
