It is easier to use than the ones that you need to point to the wind direction.

The media could not be loaded.  I use this BT anemometer to provide me with wind speed for long-distance target shooting. I purchased this type of anemometer because I wanted a unit that would display wind velocity regardless of orientation or wind direction. The unit only provides the following data: (1) current wind speed, (2) average wind speed, and (3) maximum wind speed. It does not provide temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, or other weather conditions. However, I only need it for wind speed and get the other environmental data from my phone.I mounted it on a tripod along with my wind indicator so that I have continuous updates regarding wind speed and direction (see photo and video). So far, it appears to work as advertised. I will try to update this review after I have some long-term experience to properly evaluate it for durability and battery life. It uses a 2032 watch-type battery. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that I ordered a solid black unit and received one that is black and orange, but that's not a big deal for me so long it functions correctly. So far, it appears to be a good unit for its price point.

Difficult to read and not very accurate

The battery didn’t seem to stay in position to function properly. It didn’t turn on 85% of the Tim. When it did turn on, it didn’t pick up the wind at all. It vas very finicky.

No complaints here! I ordered this to measure the wind speeds for my inflatable business. It works well, just make sure you turn it off mine went dead within a few days I’m assuming I left it on. It’s very easy to use, and very easy to read.

This is perfect for testing the wind before I fly my drone!

I have no way to verify the accuracy. I can say that it repeats well in my test with a constant air flow. I have found so many uses for this tester. I purchased to test AC filter flow restriction. The MER only tells particle size filter can trap. The difference in air flow through 7 different brands of filter with the same MER rating was insane. I am talking about almost 30% drop in air flow from the least restrictive to the most. Two major brands were near most restrictive end of the test. Stopping allergens is one thing, cutting the efficiency of your system by 30% is another.

Our mobile stage has a 40kph wind rating- and we did a show this summer where a storm was threatening us. It was great to be able to spot check the wind. I tested this by setting the cruise on my car via GPS and sticking it out the window. Seems to be good up at least up to 70kph.I do wish the screen backlight would stay on longer, but it's a handy meter to have regardless. We keep it with the gear now for - ah say - for just such an emergency.

Lo compré para usarlo cada vez que vuele mi dron. Mi dron tiene una resistencia máxima a vientos de 20 nudos (unos 38 km/h). Si el viento es mayor, seguro arrastrará el dron y sin duda lo perderás.Así que para no ponerlo en riesgo mido la intensidad previo al vuelo. Y ha sido bastante útil.El dron por su parte tiene forma de calcular vientos superiores. Pero este anemómetro me ahorra tiempo debido a su facilidad de uso.Bastante práctico. Ocupa poco espacio. Te da las lecturas en tiempo real, y también te da promedios.Recomendado.

Measures temp accurately . And windspeed is helpful just wish you could keep info on screen for a short whole
