The Superhero Brain: Explaining autism to empower kids (girl)

A wonderful tool for parents of ASD children
We used this book to explain to my 6-year old granddaughter that she has ASD. Such a gentle and positive book to explain to a child that they have ASD, and how that makes them wonderfully special and unique.

Couldn’t recommend more!!
My fav purchase ever! Such an amazing way of explaining to children both autistic and siblings about autism and how to embrace being different!

Great for me, Not so much for the intended
Okay so I liked the book. Really well written. I read it to myself before reading it to my daughter. Now, she is a somewhat high functioning Autistic 7 year old and she said it was "boring." So! I'm going to recommend this might be for a slightly older child who is a little more curious about their neurological disorder. Or maybe kids of the same age who are neurotypical and want to understand a sibling or classmates disorder. I'll try it again in a few yrs.

Lovely story with a positive message BUT the print quality is very poor
This is a lovely book that captures the "superhero brain" beautifully. It explains the different ways Autism can present itself simply and in clear language suitable for children. Unfortunately, however, the print quality is very poor. The pages have been printed squint and on an angle, with some white patches at the edges - which for someone who is Autistic will be very distracting.

PERFECT to discuss ASD
Our kid was recently diagnosed with ASD, this book facilitated our discussion while making her feel special, strong and powerful.

Nice
The quality of paper and image was okay. Book is pretty short. We liked it okay.

A cute book, but too vague in some areas, too specific in others
I like what it says about autism, but would have preferred for it to focus more on how "everyone has their own quirks" rather than only on a few specific things (like hand flapping) that may not apply to every autistic child. It's a cute book, though, but really didn't turn on any lightbulbs for our asd cutie.
