Works great when you know how to install it.
Don’t listen to cross thread reviews or leaking. I have 2 different setups on a 1 and 2 gallon Rotopax. When installed correctly it doesn’t leak! I do recommend some Teflon tape on the black poly 45° threads, goes in easier. It won’t cross tread if you put it in the right side of the stainless fitting. Watch the video on how to set it up. This is the best option for a spout on a rotopax that I’m aware of.

Well engineered, no risk solution.
Uses original rotopax seal and there is no risk of cross threading. Extremely happy with the build quality and engineering of the valve.Must have if you want to keep your pax mounted and still use them.Spout be a little larger, flow rate is low if the air tube is not positioned correctly.

Great concept but needs a couple improvements.
This is a great concept and does work ok. Theres a couple downfalls though. The metal sleeve that the black plastic threaded male adapter screws into leads to the plastic adapter getting cross threaded very easily. Now if you didnt need to disassemble it, it wouldnt be an huge issue. However you have to take it apart every time you take it off of the Rotopax to use the original Rotopax cap, spout and rubber seal. You have to use the original Rotopax cap’s rubber seal to make this work and not leak, thus you have to take it on and off to switch between using the original cap system and this aftermarket spout. For the price, they should include a proper Rotopax type rubber cap seal and use a plastic sleeve instead of metal one that destroys threads by cross threading easily. As for the function, it works pretty good but it still leaks around the cap seal slightly. If you plan to ditch the original cap and nozzle system in lieu of using this 24/7 then it will work. Just be sure to be extra cautious or cross threading.

They make it easy to use the water sparingly.
after assy to the water tank, it mad it easy to use only the water we needed at the time. But.....This only fit one of my two RotopaX containers. Seems RotopaX changed the fitting size between the buying the first one and the second one. And I don't know which was which.

Awesome
I didn't use for a rotopax. I tried the more generic and cheaper version. Works like a charm 😁

Difficult to thread plastic to metal adapter without cross-threading
The concept is fantastic, but the execution is not quite there yet. Threading the plastic elbow is difficult at best to start without cross-threading. And because you can only twist on only a few threads deep, it can leak if you don't use a wrench to get them really tight together. The problem is you have to disassemble to remove the stock RotoPax screw cap and gasket to reinstall on the stock spout to seal the RotoPax if you don't want to keep this attached while traveling (mine are located exposed on the outside and don't want crude building up on it). My solution was to buy its own gasket and screw cap, along with thread sealant, to keep them permanently assembled.

great product , a little spendy , easy to use .
works great on rotopax . time will tell on how durable it is . dont see how people have trouble with cross threading .

Not glug free.
So I guess it deserves a start because it went on easily and doesn't leak. That is about all I can say for the positives. It pours insanely slow and even with the straw, it glugs like crazy.

Very slow pouring
Gets airlock too easy and glugs alot water comes out way too slow. Maybe if there was a tube to let in the air it would work better. Other than that it's a quality peice of gear

Another overpriced/underperforming Instagram trend
It's just a spout, why must it be over engineered? The version I bought didn't show or include the extra vent hose and connector and uses a plastic threaded elbow vs the metal one shown in the new version. Cannot separate the elbow from the metal sleeve because it will deform the plastic threads on the elbow "to create a leak proof connection". This makes it a one time install only. I wanted to remove mine as it sticks out and catches tree branches on the trail. Decided to disassemble the spout to reuse the cap but couldn't reassemble because the threads deformed themselves. To bad it sill leaks at the cap because the rubber gasket gets pinched if its not perfectly aligned! Also, not compatible with any Scepter spouts or caps because that would cheapen the brand. Must be proprietary and therefore overpriced.Avoid this spout and rotopax in general. Not worth the hype. There are way cheaper ways of transporting water and fuel on your vehicle. They do "look cool" though.
