These razors are excellent. I shave face and head daily. They last for weeks. I used to be an Xtreme Three user. These are better and half the price. I love the edge blade. Allows me to get under my nose. No razor burn, quality metal handle, no nicks. These are among the best values on Amazon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Try em once, you WILL add to your sub-save.

I shave my head and face 3 x per week. I typically use Gilette blades and get around 6 weeks out of a blade before it starts to 'drag' across my scalp. The first few weeks the shave is almost frictionless, very smooth and comfortable. But the price for refill blades 'feels' high. Honestly for the amount of usage I get per blade, it's not- but I was still interested in alternatives. I tried buying some blades from a subscription service a while back. Those blades could have been in a Stephen King novel- they had a taste for human flesh... After being scared back to name brand blades for a few years, I recently picked up some off brand look-alike replacement blades that were being sold on Amazon. Came in packaging that looked very similar to the real deal, had a very similar look but were obviously made over seas and packaged to be direct replacements for half the price. Those blades dragged across my scalp like I was trying to shave with a pine cone. The blades were not jagged, they were just DULL. Apparently they were so bad that by the time I tried to review them, they no longer existed as something that could be reviewed. *They are still being sold, just not the specific set that I purchased. Be aware. I decided to just bite the bullet and purchase the ones I felt were overpriced but perform very well. Saw that Amazon has their own brand. I've purchased a lot of Amazon Basic items over the years, and figured I'd give them a shot. They actually solve a problem I didn't really have. They cost about half price from the name brand, and they shave really well. They are not as sharp and smooth as the name brand razors, I don't want to sell them as that- but they feel good, and have minimal skin drag. I do not think I'll get 6 weeks out of each blade, but I'm confident that I can get at least a month. For comfort I rate them a 4, but I'm adding a star for the value proposition. Cheaper and almost as good as the big boys. I'm good with that, and will repurchase in the future.

Very nice razors for the price. I have no complaints about the shave quality. My only complaints are the side with the single blade used for precision trimming is dangerous and doesn't work well for me. I tried using it around my nose and it cut me. It may be OK for edging longer hair on sideburns but stay away from delicate areas. Also, not a fan of the handle. Too many curves and contours going on so every time change shave angles, you have to stop and figure out how to best get a grip on it. And it should be all rubber coated, not a mix of both. Just one tubular rubber coated handle with no slip grips would make this razor the best.

I have been using single blade razors, of the old design that you dismantled the handle to take the blade out and replace it. They were great for a long time, but I finally decided to try these. They are fantastic. I always expect to get a few minor cuts while shaving, but if I got any cuts with these, they are too small for me to notice at all. I am cheap, so I reuse the blades as much as I can. I have so far used one cartridge to shave five times. Surprisingly, it does not seem to have even dulled from this. The lubricant on the top of the cartridge has faded away. But that does not make it unusable. Well done Amazon. You made an amazing item here.

Not the best razor in the world but still decent in quality. I’ve had much worse.

I bought these razors for my husband, and he has been very happy with them. They provide a close, smooth shave and leave his skin feeling comfortable. The blades stay sharp, the handle is easy to grip, and they offer excellent value for the price. We will definitely purchase these again.

Overall this is an ok razor that gets the job done. The most important thing I can note is that the connection point of the blade(razors) to handle is *on the blade part*. That may seem normal or not a big deal, but it means the part with the blades has many more pieces and parts that can break. For me anyway, I often use it on my body and not face. If I shave regularly this is no big deal, but if you shave infrequently, when the hair is longer, then you'll know hair gets stuck in the blades. Normally this is really easy to clean out but due to the connections between blades and handle being all sorts of extra pieces, it is NOT easy with this razor. I put up a picture comparison of a Harry's razor as an example. I suppose it is a decent little cheap razor, but considering how many better options exist for very close in price, I would go with something else. Not one of the better Amazon Basic products.

I got tired of paying the outrageous prices for Gillette blades. Even at Costco where you have to buy a ton at one time, the Fusion blades run about $2.62 each on sale. As much as I’d like to say these are just as good, they are not. I would rate them “good enough”, but not great. The Gillette blades feel sharper and smoother from the get go, and they last a lot longer. These blades are OK for the first few shaves, but then I found the blades got dull. I started to feel pull on the hairs when shaving. I am going to keep these, because they are “acceptable” and a good value for the money. Once I finish, I am going to fork the money out and stay with Gillette. I tried Harry’s with similar results. I guess there is a reason why Gillette can charge almost what they want.

Thoroughly impressed with the shave. I use my old toothbrush to clean the razor during shave and after shave to keep a clean shave blade. Once you do this (to any razor really) then you'll never stop, since any buildup of hairs in the blade reduce efficacy. One thing I hate is switching blades isn't easy to do, as you have to fiddle a little and hold the eject button to install new cartridge, and it's not colour coded so it might be upside down if you're not paying attention. Other than that, I highly recommend based on value as these are inexpensive per cartridge. Switched away from the 6blade dollar shave club and Gillette fusion series. Glad I did.

Absolutely amazing razor As a women even tho its made for men It leaves my legs feeling extremely smooth No iritation or cuts. And does the job quickly with its 5 blades The look, feel and quality is perfect Blades last a long time before having to replace it. Given the amount of refils that came with it. I absolutely recommend this product to anyone. For the cost it is by far a great deal . I will definitely purchase again

TL,DR: GREAT razors, but the Compliment’s 5 blade razors MIGHT be exactly the same and are 25% cheaper. I've tried numerous brands of shavers over the past few years, trying to find the best shave for the lowest cost, and this Amazon Solimo shaver is one of the better deals...with a few exceptions. When I started shaving over a decade ago, I bought the fanciest and most expensive Gillette Fusion cartridges available. I then tried the Fusion ProGlide and ProSheild razors, each more expensive than the last and offering a better shave. Eventually however, I got sick of paying over $5 per cartridge, so I started trying out different options. The Harry’s razors came with a cheap feeling handle and while their shaving cream was very nice and the trimming blade on the backside was the best I’ve ever used, that blades didn’t do anywhere near as good a job as the Fusion blades. Additionally, once you account for the exchange rate and shipping of the blades, they don’t end up being much cheaper than Gillette blades. Finally, as with other shave club subscriptions, Harry’s really tries to get you locked into a monthly plan, whereas I prefer to purchase large quantities of blades once or twice a year at a lower cost per cartridge. My next option was Schick Hydro 5 Sensitive. The Schick Hydro 5 blades shaved much nicer than Harry’s, though still not as smoothly as Gillette Fusion ProGlide. The Schick blades were also a fair bit cheaper than Harry’s or Gillette, though I wish the cartridge had a trimming blade on the backside like Harry’s and Gillette offer. The lubricating strip on the top does flip back so you can use the 5 blades to trim, but it doesn’t work as well as a single blade on the back. I gave my wife a spare Schick handle and cartridge for her to try while shaving in the shower, and she really likes them and actually prefers them to the expensive women specific blades she used to get. While I was happy with Schick, when I was down to the last of my 16 pack of cartridges, I decided to try these Amazon Solimo razors to see how they stacked up because the price was very good. In a head-to-head comparison with my last new Schick Hydro 5 blade, these Solimo razors actually shaved much better, almost as smoothly as I remember the Gillette Fusion ProGlide blades being, though that was a couple years ago. Regardless, these Solimo blades shaved very smoothly, the handle had a nice heft to it and the pivoting head meant it always had good contact. I have to order a spare handle so my wife can try them out in the shower to see if she prefers them over the Schick Hydro 5 cartridges, but I think there’s a good chance she will. While I really like the Solimo cartridges and they may become my default blade, I do have two issues: -The trimming blade on the back is either very bad, or I can’t figure out how to use it properly. Almost every time to try to use it, I end up cutting myself or at the very least giving that area razor burn. Unlike the Harry’s and Gillette trimming blades, the Solimo blade doesn’t have a guard along one edge to help indicate the best orientation for use. I really hope they revise the design at some point to improve this feature, because that would make it the best cartridge available. -These Solimo blades look to be IDENTICAL to the store brand 5 blade razor cartridges sold at Sobey’s grocery stores (Sobey’s, FreshCo, IGA, Safeway etc) and the Compliment’s brand cartridges are usually cheaper! My local FreshCo had a 4 pack for a regular price of $5.99, which is only $1.50 each, while these Solimo blades are $1.94 each for a 12 pack. I need to buy a Compliment’s starter pack to confirm that the handles and cartridges are interchangeable, but they look exactly the same. If the 4 pack of Compliment’s blades goes on sale, they would be even cheaper than the Solimo blades, and the Solimo cartridges come in a package with 3 times are many blades, so you’d think there should be a bulk discount.

Eco packaging! Impressed! Great value for price! Was impressed with the quality of blade and overall quality of product. Same as most of the higher priced multi-blades on the market, just half the price. Adding to regular stock in cabinet. Makes a good shave when combined with the right shaving cream. Good purchase!

I was looking for a good quality razor to replace my Gillette Mach 3 after I used the last of my Gillette blades. I did not want to purchase Gillette anymore after their divisive "We Believe" ad campaign. This is a very comfortable, very sharp, razor blade system at a reasonable price.
