The sticks on these tended to break quite often. I use about 3-4 swabs/day, and probably had a breakage every other day. I split the order with my mother & she had the same experience, so it wasn't just me or the way I use them. Also, the large packages were inconvenient. The cost may seem inexpensive, but considering how many I had to throw away & the aggravation of all the breakage, it wasn't so inexpensive after all. I have already ordered a different brand & will not order these again.

differing feelings on these. i do like the sturdiness of the wooden stick much better than the new formulation of J&J qtips which as become subpar. but a few of the sticks did break when cleaning my ears. great for makeup application bc the cotton tip was tighter than J&J brand and cotton didn't come loose. all in all, i'll keep buying. sticks didn't break enough to be a problem for me. ps...while i was leery of trying these since most of the reviews came from folks who got this as a free promo item to try & review on....i was glad i gave them a try.

These are the very best value in a wooden shaft cotton swab my wife and I have ever used. Read that; best value. There are pricier options via some high end, snooty tree hugger type suppliers that have fewer split shafts. But overall these are consistently well manufactured, absorbent and strong. As a hearing aid wearer and someone required to wear inserted ear plugs for work, wax doth cometh! While I use these for ear related ablutions, and my wife as well, she also uses them for random make up applications. I also use them for cleaning tight spaces on some of my guns and tools and for cleaning tight spots in the house in general. Very pleased. Note: as with anything one will be applying onto or into an orifice, inspect before use!

A nice surprise. Usually the cotton swabs at a good price are just ok. These are great actually.What makes them nice is the cotton tips are really tightly wound. I use swabs for crafts and repairs and the loose cotton fibers are very annoying. Not with these. Also the wood stick makes them hold up if I have to dye a tight spot or prop something up with a swab. They also are great for make up. I use these with a gel eyeliner and also for brow color. A happy accident I purchased these. I will be buying these from now on!

These wooden cotton swabs are a fantastic value. My single order will last me many years. However be careful as some of the sticks are slightly thinner than others and can break. Just be aware and you should not have any issues if one gives way. I will not have ro buy theae again for 8 years or more.

I was looking to replace the original Q-tip swabs with the wood sticks. These are smaller, better than non wood sticks, but not as strong as others.There is a better brand available, Swisspers is closer to the original Qtips.

I do not understand all the rave reviews of these cheap, thin, flimsy sticks. I used to use the Johnson and Johnson, until they stopped being manufactured. These are terrible by comparison.1) The wood is thin and breaks all the time, and...2) One of the two tips is oftentimes easily slides off the wood. I know, I know...you are not supposed to put these inside your ears, but even when just cleaning outside my ear the canal, I had a cotton tip come off and then get lodged INSIDE my ear. I had to have a doctor remove the cotton.When I checked other swabs, I found that with more than half of them I was able to slide the cotton tip off the wood very easily.

Wooden Q-tips are very hard to find. The other ones they make nowadays are too flexible and pointless. These work great for various needs, and ear cleaning is a PLUS with these. Now that I finally found a place to order these regularly I'll be buying more and more. Also, I'd rather buy wooden swabs than swabs with plastic sticks. The wood is biodegradable, the plastic will be here in 50 yrs.
