These worked fine if you place them on the PIPE coming out of the wall and them place the hose on the valve----I first used one on the end of the hose which only worked about 6 times before the hose blew of its end behind the valve----JLF

I was replacing the shower heads anyway, so I decided to add a couple of these to the project so that we would be able to control the volume of water coming through the shower head. Our showers allow you to control the temp, but not the volume of water, and these solve that issue. They were a quick install, I installed them between the shower pipe and the shower head, and 10 minutes later everything was done. They work perfectly, and look nice to boot. No regrets.

The quality of the valve is fine. Solid and easy to open close. I did not use these valves because the maximum flow is less than 50%. (see pic) The top valve is open and the bottom valve is closed. The open valve is still blocking more than 50% of the throughput. I wanted to "energy save" just a little, so these were useless to me.

Threading taper is to sharp. It will not thread onto shower chrome pipe. One turn and binding. Not usable and returned both ordered. It also has very restricted flow when open , 50%. I tried 3 different pipes and no go. Lots available from different sellers. Had better luck with the cheap plastic ones

I use 1/2 the water when taking a shower after I throttle the pressure back with it.

Hard to believe something so simple like a shut off valve has become our favorite thing for our handheld shower head. We installed it to help us conserve water while washing the dogs, now we use the shower head for filling our mop buckets, and controlling the water when cleaning the shower.
