Captivating Heart to Heart Small Group Video Series

This video series, when used in conjunction with the book and the workbook, makes for a very good study for a ladies small group. There are some technical inaccuracies, when it comes to Hebrew scholarship, so those who are very concerned with biblical accuracy will have some difficulty when participating in this study. That said, I still believe this series to be of value. This series addresses the feminine heart in an affirming manner that encourages open, honest communication about our woundedness, and points us to the Great Physician as the primary source of healing. The videos do a great job of modeling heart-sharing in a small group setting, for the most part, although it's obvious that parts were scripted. Much of what is shared resonates with the experience of the ladies in my small group. However, I would have preferred to include a broader spectrum of ethnicities (everyone was Caucasian) and life experiences, were I to be tasked with remaking the series. That said, the overall experience has been a positive one, and I would recommend it to others. The ladies in my group have enjoyed the study, and have found it to be healing and helpful.

This video series lead by Stasi Eldridge is an excellent tool to use with a small group study of the book "Captivating" also written by Stasi and her husband John Eldridge. This discussion format is very good and well done. The women share very honestly and transparently which has been very helpful in encouraging the women in my group to open up and share, too. I was personally deeply touched by seeing Stasi's humility as a leader sharing from the depths of vulnerability from her own life. To be able to see how God is mightily using an imperfect overweight woman to share this message of how He created women to reveal His beauty, His adventurous and romantic characteristics was very powerful to me and my group.

Love the book, the videos are for people learning to host a book study. I would have spent too much time watching them, and not enough time with my group of ladies... but I really love the concept of a training video.

Pretty dated but pertinent information

Not a fan. The videos felt like an after thought. It was like someone took a camera and taped a few women sitting around having coffee and talking about their issues in life. It didn't really add to the discussion or help take things further with our study. The workbook is good, but I don't recommend the videos. I just ended up using the workbooks for discussion towards the end and that worked out well.

This series reveals the intent of God's heart when he created woman. I can now see myself through God's eyes. It lead me through healing and closure. It helped me embrace all that I am and accept myself. I recommend it to every women's group.

Love these videos and the book. Used for a small group study and all of the women were inspired to look inside of them as they say others do in the video. Very healing and would really recommend.

We have only just began this journey of discovery, by wow, it's good. It's so interesting and encouraging to hear about the desires of each of the group members and though expressed in different and unique way's, share a common theme to be loved, adored and romanaced. Like Tammy "Sometimes it's hard to be a woman", but i am at last embracing the fact that out of God's desire I was born to be a woman, It was completely on purpose and with a purpose. This Study is a fantasic way to reach into the parts of your heart that have like sleeping beauty laid sleeping for far to long, be prepared for a wonderful awakening. x Don't forget to order the Study Guide, it's got some very thought provoking questions.

Arrived promptly and as described

This video series is basicly a few women sitting on couches having the bible study. You are listening to a group of women you don't know. Almost feels like you are eavdropping on them. If you are reading the book and then going through the DVD guide book as a study, don't bother with the video as it is just rehashing what you have just discussed.

Good for those who don't have the time to read the book; yet I recommend both reading the book and viewing the DVD.
