Throughout book!
Very thorough compost book that breaks down compost basics in a way that incorporates scientific terms but explains enough for the general public. Haven't finished reading but have already used the knowledge!

Good general information
This book is well written, very understandable but is somewhat of an overview. The author is an academic, and presents like one. . For the technically minded this approach may be good but I found it a bit clinical. The information presented is good, just a bit on the thin side. I thought I would learn more about compost tea, but I still favor the previous book on that subject listed below. Some of the graphics are good while many seem like filler to make up the page count. However, if you know nothing about compost--buy it--its a good primer Compost Tea Making: For Organic Healthier Vegetables, Flowers, Orchards, Vineyards, Lawns
