Over extending the Vocals Dero!
After 2006, Oomph went to an softer feel with much of their work, (because what is Monster anyway?) I feel this one is too far in the opposite direction, as is to say, there hasn't been good balance recently, its either one, or the other: too soft or too hard - ya know?I like the chorus' as you can hear the natural voice - but the refrain etc has no vibrato - as if trying to extend the voice to a depth it does not wish to go and thus loosing the natural frequency, inadvertently restricting the vocal chamber so that only Tom Waits is left.Which is a bummer because Dero has a great voice.I also love Tom Waits - he is the embodiment of his craft.I'm working on a few songs myself with a nice Dero feel to them and are turning out great, amazing influence guys -It just seems this time around, lots of cigarettes were smoked and an album was then immediately pursued with minimal warm up. Just a bit too forced vocally. Ya know?Still going to get down on this album - I do HIGHLY APPROVE of the stanza's not only being 4 words - message is always a good thing. This album is hard work and it show's - you can tell they really wanted to capture something they.. . may not have really sought to capture at this point in their career's, which is fine, it makes it all that more astonishing.Thank you guys for the hard work and dedication to the fan's - I think this album is truly meant for them - a fruit of labor entirely.

My new favorite Oomph cd
Oomph is back with a more of a hard rock sound much to my liking, there last couple of cds were definitely more of a pop sound which did not like at all, I read that this new cd was going to be more heavy than there last few,and with a new record label made me believe so,and I am very happy with this new cd , I also believe it better than my other favorite Plastik !

Best OOMPH! album since Wahrheit oder Pflicht
I regret waiting this long to buy some new OOMPH!. I've only listened to it a few times but I'd already say it's the best album they have put out in a long time.

This might be Oomph's first actual full on metal album?
Let's talk Oomph! shall we. So, if you heard "XXV" you won't be too shocked about Ritual. But the Oomph! Fans that loved "DES WAHNSINNS FETTE BEUT" through 'WAHRHEIT ODER PFLICHT' will be to a sense shell shocked. Honestly the heaviest Oomph! gets in this large section of their career is the reproduction of song 'Gekreuzigt' to 'Gekreuzigt' being reworked to fit that particular style without loosing to much of the integrity of the original song. I'm not saying that they weren't heavy then, but the point is Ritual has double base drumming, trem picking guitars, and the operatic vocals of Dero Goi are akin to his previous "Unrein" to their first album kind of days.Let's talk about the label that Ritual is being released under. Napalm Records is renown for metal. It's a metal label. So what can we expect from Oomph! to come moving forward? They are most likely going to be pushed to probably be a German clone of Fear Factory. Which, will only further shell shock fans and gain completely new ones. However, this is just my personal conjecture. "Ritual" being more of a rebranding, reformation of what will become.I gave it 5 stars, because it's bold. New worldwide label, being heavier than Megahertz, Eisbrecher and now Rammstein now. Seriously compare Rammstein's single 'Deutschland' to Oomph's 'Tausend Mann Und Ein Befehl' and you will know that this will be the heaviest music with lyrics auf Deutsch out of the bands in their genre.Go forth and be heavy Oomph! And to the person who gets to read this overly wordy review if "GlaubeLiebeTod" was too heavy for you...then you will despise this album. If Monster was to soft for you, but you still enjoyed it...then "Ritual" will simply hands down be the best auf Deutsch album you've heard in a very long time. Cuz it's heavy af.

Was soll das? Natascha Kampusch in böse, oder wie? Verstehe ich nicht.Schade, dass Amazon keinen Autorip anbietet, mein PC hat kein Laufwerk. Dafür nur 4 Sterne.
