Works as promised.
As the maker promised, this adapter turns your m.2 SSD into a U.2 SSD. You can think of this as a kind of 'converter' that allows you to use an m.2 SSD on a motherboard with only U.2 slots, kind of like the mSATA to SATA adapter that were popular some years ago.The maker claims the you can use a SATA and NVME SSD simultaneously in this adapter but I didn't see the point of buying a SATA SSD when the Intel 660p 2TB is a lot cheaper than the SATA 2TB SSDs on Amazon so I just installed an Intel 660p 2TB nvme SSD into it, and there's no loss of speed, stability, function whatsoever. In fact, in short bursts it's a lot FASTER than the Intel 750 400GB that it replaced. I didn't need to install any drivers or anything(I use Gigabyte Aorus Z270X-gaming k7). To mention some cons, it wasn't perfect, one of the screws didn't fit very well so I could only fix 3 screws and they don't include a manual so it's a bit confusing to assemble, but that was good enough for me to give them five stars.I've had several of these affordable 'adapters' that allow conversions of interfaces and they never failed before I decided to upgrade the system, so I think I can recommend this adapter to anyone who has a spare U.2 slot but not an m.2 slot. That's not very common nowadays, though, because it seems that the U.2 interface is gradually being pushed out of market... but by all means, go ahead and get this adapter if you know you want to use an m.2 NVME or SATA SSD with a U.2 socket motherboard.
